This week, Ben Flanagan takes us through 5 tips for your recovery workout to help you bounce back between hard workouts and keep burnout at bay.

1. Stay comfortable – that goes for what you’re wearing and what’s on your feet.

2. Keep it easy – go slow to give your body a break.

3. Stay consistent – 15, 30, 60 minutes, whatever it is, just make sure that you are out there for the amount of time your body is used to for a recovery run, so you don’t shock the system between hard efforts, and you really can truly give your body a break.

4. Distractions can help – run with music or invite a buddy along for the run.

5. Recover throughout the day – refuel, drink water, mobilize, and don’t forget to get a good night’s sleep!
