1) Organic soy, (tofu, edamame, tempeh)
2) Organic 70% dark chocolate (because of magnesium, its raising progesterone levels and polyphenols...it balancing.)
3) Wild caught fish (good omega 3s increasing oestrogen, high protein) best: fatty fish on a daily basis. sardines, mackerel, salmon, etc)
4) Complex carbs: Sweet potato, Squash, carrots, chick peas, lentils and beans

You can make a chocolate pudding with organic silken tofu, coco powder and a bit of pure maple syrup. You can add some vanilla and salt if you wanted to as well! Just blend the ingredients together and enjoy!

I am post menopausal and have no hot flashes. I do not eat any type of soy. Mostly because you can not find Non-GMO. I love and eat all of the other ones listed.

Note that heavy metals have been found in chocolate. It would be good to know which brands are low or free of heavy metals. I have been avoiding a couple of brands because of this.

Interesting, thanks.
1. I only like Soy Sauce (GF, Organic)
2. I make my own chocolate, 81%. I've started adding a tsp of raw cacao powder to my morning Greek Yoghurt too.
3. Since watching Sea Spiracy documentary, I can't bring myself to eat any type of fish...
4. My cycle is so short that my carb loading days are only about 4-6 days, it's almost torture. What about normal potato?
5. I used to be on the Blueberries a lot, but I discovered they are too carby for the keto part of my cycle. I've got a blackberry bush just outside my window though 🙂

I started eating organic soy tofu again about a year ago. Because I was wanting to increase my protein. My mother & family are Japanese and have ate tofu at least once a day for millennia. So why not? I've lost 10 pounds and kept to off. I've got more energy and my mood is better. I've also been drinking soy lattés (milk with a bit of coffee) most days.

When I started I ate somedays a half to a whole block with 1/2T coconut oil and soy sauce (all organic)... Probably due to my cycle, I'm post menopausal. Now days, I let my body tell me... If I get up on the wrong side of the bed... cranky, easily irritated, stiff & achy or just out of sorts or maybe just don't want to get out of bed. Then I know it's a tofu day. Sometimes I feel better right away. Some days I might not feel myself until I've slept once. Whether it's the added protein or the hormones or even both... I'm feeling so much better now. Especially since I started taking melatonin the same time every evening.

Next on my list is to get my mouth healthy. I'm thinking these little infections are zapping my strength. 💕🌞🌵😷

I hear conflicting views on whether or not cherries can be considered a berry... I always like to hope so because they are probably my favorite fruit. Any insight into this debate?
