I also find it important to mention: Sleep environment. Things like fully covering the windows and sleeping in darkness, adjusting the temperature so you are not too warm, using your bed mainly for sleep and making sure you are not disturbed with noise or even turn on some white noise such as a fan if you prefer that.

Hi Tom, I really appreciate your content. Thank you.
A little while back u made a video about ankle strengthening in which u mentioned that u had an inversion sprain on your ankle and that it took a few years to recover completely. I'm right here in the middle of this issue mate. If u feel that the knowledge you've shared in that video is sufficient, then it's okay, but if not it'd mean the world to me if u could go into fine details of the whole process, eg. all the different exercises you've done and exercise progressions, also other techniques u may have used like massaging, stretching etc. It really doesn't have to be a fancy video, even if it's an hour long without any editing, id still be really grateful. please come through mate.
Thanks again

At the start of lockdown v.1 (March 2020) I started going to bed when it got dark (so 8.30ish) and not closing my curtains, so woken up by light by around 5.30/6.00. I found that a great way to calibrate my circadian rhythm. Over winter I used a wake up light to keep things ticking over.

Thanks for vids Tom 👍

Make a video on how you usw Oura for sure! It is always interesting how other people go about it. I have an Oura ring since late 2018 and kind of just integrated insight into my body in my life.

I like this video and the focus on light and its influence! And the sleepy Emoji in the video icon, literally me rn. One thing that is super important to me: The bed is only for sleep (and one other thing ;)). But honestly, no eating, no watching television, no playing on my phone in bed. When I hit the hay, it's like someone's flicking a switch and I instantly want to fall asleep 😃

For those who have difficulty falling asleep because of running thoughts. I would like to suggest trying yoga nidra guided meditation.

It’s nearly 2am here and I’m in bed watching Tom tell me about sleep. Much needed. My phone is an enemy of sleep.

that's very interesting, definitely I'm going to read more about circadian rytm. But I wanted to share that I started to use red 👓 also for working on computer 🖥 when I dont need to see colours, and it also definitely reduces the headache and migraines!

I've been chasing this demon my whole life and after watching dozens of videos on the topic and trying tons of different things, the only thing that has made any difference for me is making sure not to eat close to bedtime. I used to have problems sleeping due to an overactive mind, but I kinda got a handle on that last year and things improved a lot. However, I still have 2 or 3 nights a week where I don't get to sleep for 2-4 hours after I try to go to bed. I just lay there with my mind blank, feeling comfortable and ready to fall asleep, but I just...don't fall asleep. I also make sure to get up after a while if it's not working and try again when I feel tired again. I seriously feel like I'm cursed, but slow and steady progress has helped me at least a little bit, so I keep trying. Someday I hope to be able to consistently fall asleep within 30 minutes of getting into bed.

Here is a tip to wake up at the right time without alarm . Before going to sleep remind yourself at what time you've to get up . Like say to yourself by that I have to get up at 5 o clock . Few verbal reminders to yourself by yourself will make u get up at the same time . Works for a few of us who've tried .

Few people realize that alcohol can disturb your sleep cycle. I have found that even small amounts consumed during the day can cause me to wake up in the middle of the night and not be able to fall asleep again...
