As a beautician cuticle oil is most definitely NOT a scam. It stop dehydration in the nails and if you have gel/ acrylics / Biab it stops lifting and promotes natural nail growth and helps retention. If you’re using cuticle oil on natural nails, it helps with strength and growth of the nails ❤️

i am a nail technician in-training cuticle oil is NOT a scam. as long as you invest in a good quality one, preferably from a brand like OPI or Orly. it will help moisturize the cuticle and prevent dry nailbeds and hangnails.

No lie, putting all that skincare on your hands, putting on some vinyl gloves and doing chores is such an awesome addition to your routine. After all the chores are done, you take the gloves off and your hands are kinda sweaty and pruny but afterwards they look years younger

Cuticle oil is nice for protecting the skin when you soak them off in acetone. I always add a few drops to the acetone bath so my hands don't dry out more than necessary

Cuticle oil isnt a scam... its just smarter to get the big ass jugs of the pure stuff and get some refilable pens off amazon if you wanna carry it around. Like, my nails were NEVER longer and stronger than when i worked in a pub, handling greasy food all day 😂 straight up vegetable oil took my thin, flaking nails to perfectly strong and able to maintain some length (tho obviously i had to keep them shorter while working cus germs but still).

Also as others pointed out the vid is of a hand model so of course this is gonna be overkill for the average person but also, pamper yourself! It aint hurting nobody❤

My friend's mum has a routine like this. She's a house cleaner. It takes such a toll on the skin especially the hands and its her way of taking care of herself and rewarding a hard day's labour. Not everything has to make sense to everyone, and not everyone has to explain everything that makes them happy. I don't see her shaming anyone for not having a routine this extensive so I don't really get the criticism?

hair identifying stuff is helpful for some people on the face in particular. some people find that removing facial hair can help reduce their acne, and also having a hair free face can help makeup sit better on the skin, so i think its a valid thing, so long as its not used in an "oh my god you have hair?? so gross get rid of it??" kinda thing
