I believe it is an exaggeration to call false teacher. N.T Wright. One may have some disagreement as Christian. I was listening to a conversation between N.T Wright and James White. It was a delight and a high level of discussion. One may wrestle with his position. However, He made a lot of sense. And by the way, you should not tell people what books to read. I would encourage people to N.T wright and John Piper response on that matter. I believe that will help us to have a right view and a solid position.

Tom Wright has forgotten more OT than Most of his critics have ever known. If God requires the most innocent righteous personality to die for the most guilty how in any logic is that rightness? The Reformation theologians have all but destroyed the proper view of God’s manifest love for his people.
If God requires you to forgive without killing an innocent being then just maybe He forgives without killing the most innocent being. The death was necessary but not in the terms most of us have been taught.

McArther read hundreds of pages of Wright’s books but can’t tell us what Wright believes? I’m not a scholar or a pastor, but I’ve read many books, including a view of Wright’s book and have learned views he holds. So, was McArthur lying? Did he really read his stuff? I would say Wright can confuse people at times due to his way of writing at times. But, McArthur showed great ignorance over what he claimed.

Maybe talk to DA Carson to actually learn what Wright believes.

While it is appreciated that an attempt to refute N.T Wright's theology is made. I think there is depth needed to study and refute N.T Wright's theology. N.T Wright rejects imputed / imparted righteousness, redefines justification and redefines the Gospel. He is not teaching against substitutionary atonement. His core issue is to redefine justification.
