Some people are boneheads. ie those, who are supposed to encourage are messed up a lot of the time. FYI you’re not lacking in any area, intellect, compassion for starters. I'm so glad you didn't listen to all that negativity in her childhood only did what made you feel good and feel good about yourself. I've rescued two dogs in my life and I thought oh they're lucky I rescued them but then I realized I'm lucky cuz they brought so much joy to my life and are such wonderful animals.. I don't know what I would do without them they rescued me.

Up until a couple of years ago, I had 3 husky-greyhounds (all rescues). The mama dog of the other two passed away (R.I.P, Mystery!) and I think about her every day. That dog love is real (and very powerful). Keep doing your thing, Lee - the dogs need you!
