I have followed many Keto diet style YouTube videos over the last three years or so, however, as I learned more and more, I started dropping those videos that just didn't provide the quality content that your videos provide. Thank you Dr. Becky for your well researched information and wise advice.

I love nuts, but they are just too convenient. The same with cheese. If I don't have these two foods around, I don't snack. I have no problem not eating in the mornings but the evenings can be tough. And I realize I'm not actually hungry, but if I know those foods are available, my brain will needle me until I think I just have to eat them. When I don't buy them, I don't get those thoughts.

Don't over eat with peanuts, but can't resist macadamias. Absolutely love them... So for me (tears welling in the eyes) I don't have them in the house!

I always enjoy your show Becky. American's are crazy, here in New Zealand we work everything out in grams, so 100 grams of Brazil Nuts contains 12 grams Carbs, 64 grams Fat and 14 grams of protein compared to 100 grams of Broccoli which has 6 grams of Carbs, 0 Fat and 3 grams of Protein. Because your comparison unit is the same you can compare like to like and it's 100 grams so the Carbs, Fat and Protein are percentages making it easy to compare 1 once which is 28 grams to anything you choose. Have a great day

Cashews are also not nuts. They are actually the stem of the cashew fruit, which are cut and roasted. That’s probably why they have more carbs. But, they are delicious.

Thanks for the 'nutty' video, Dr. Gillaspy. I found a new true love while in my keto journey: macadamia nuts. And now I have cravings for those time to time. Great stuff.

Thank you for the short but informative video on my favorite food nuts! I just ordered roasted cashews and roasted almonds and although they are not in the raw state I believe that they are the best option for me because I always become my skinniest and healthiest when I eat them since they keep me full as well as keep me from eating all processed food. I did not get the salted kinds as you recommend because I believe that I already consume enough minerals and sodium even though it may be on the lower end since I exercise now too although I will see how I feel in the next couple of weeks and increase sodium if neccessary since I just rating keto style again after about a three week break. Actually I think I have a keto flu and that must mean I ate really bad for three weeks because I do not ever remember having it before. I wish there would be many more videos on nuts and nutritions and keto like this and more in depth too it is what i am hungry for :)

You two are awesome. Please do a video about Carnivore Keto too. And if someone falls off the wagon and now can't handle the hunger or cravings etc. Thank you.

I love nuts and enjoy them a few times a week. Sometimes as a snack, sometimes as a topping for a meal or salad. I always measure, and the bags go right back in the frig. I try to buy raw and then dry roast them myself if I want, especially if I cannot find pre-roasted ones with clean ingredients.

I like to put an ounce of walnuts on my salad but macadamia nuts make a good snack too!

I have an addiction to Trader Joes roasted Pecans! I know....not the best choice being roasted but my goodness I am giving up so many things I figure a handful of Pecans that makes me happy can't be too bad! I do wish though on some days I could give it up. :)

When I feel hungry, I grab a small handful of raw almonds and eat one or two at a time and eat them slowly. It curbs my appetite.

I tried a Chia Pudding receipt from the Beat Diabetes channel. I gradually cut down the amount to reduce calories. Going from mostly carnivore to a dish with: chia seeds, walnuts, flax seed, almonds, heavy cream, water and sunflower seeds - most items are a sprinkle. I have never been more constipated in my life. I dont need the fiber to be regular.

Great presentation, DB! I've been adding 7 almonds (I'm a bit obsessively weird on that one) to my salads for years, plus a TBS of flaxseed (that's a seed, but kinda the same as a nut nutritionally? Or better?).

I love macadamias and pistachios.... too much 😂 I have discovered that I can’t have them, except on occasion, because I will overeat them.

I love walnuts for a snack. Also, I will take a couple of teaspoons of almond butter when serious food cravings hit. I think the fat in both of these is what makes me feel better.

Yes but fiber is NOT an essential food. We don’t need fiber so you can’t say we are lacking this and we need to get it from something

Some nuts, such as almonds, are high in oxalates, which are best avoided. Just something to consider.
