Best thing it did for my health was eliminating all seed oils (and seeds and nuts) and replacing them with butter, lard and tallow.

Completely agree… When I was on Keto I experienced lots of side effects from “healthy “ nuts… carnivore surprisingly reversed every issues I had

It is so difficult in this day and age to figure out what is really good for us and especially what actually was. Every Dr. says something different, Vegan, Carnivore, Omnivore, Vegetarian.... etc. it almost drives me crazy, everyone says something different and talks bad about each other. I hope I find out someday what is good for me. Currently I'm trying Carnevore, hopefully that will work.

I was a snickers junkie. Nuts and chocolate are oxalate bombs and the sugar is a heart attack. Strict carnivore 10 months. Amazingly you couldn’t pay me to eat snickers

I only eat or drink Dark chocolate with at least 70% cacao. No milk or vegetable oils.

After a year of being on keto I discovered I was eating a very high amount of oxalates in the form of almond flour biscuits, almond butter, spinach, dark chocolate, and tea. I was aware of oxalates causing kidney stones, but did not know oxalates also accumulate throughout the tissues of the body. This causes many painful conditions including fibromyalgia, joint, bladder, and vulvar pain. Also, eliminating oxalates from your diet is a process called "oxalate dumping" that can cause itchy rashes and other strange symptoms. I had a rash when I was sick and couldn't eat much for a few weeks. Pretty sure this was the cause. This is a not adequately addressed by keto proponents. I would like to see warning labels on high oxalate foods! I am ketovore now, working on purging the oxalates.

Another awesome video Dr. Baker. Before carnivore I would eat nuts and chocolate. The chocolate would give me a headache if I stopped eating it and nuts gave me red skin rashes if peanuts, and major hives if almonds. I do not miss any of that since I switched to full zero carb carnivore! No thank you to chocolate and nuts! Plus, Chocolate made my PMS symptoms bad, so love carnivore diet. No rashes, no headaches, and no PMS symptoms at all.

Doing mostly carnivore for the last 2 months. Generalized inflammation, stiffness and joint pain are a lot better. Skin and finger nails feel smoother, more energy with a better sense of well being and bloating and IBS SX are so much better. Teeth feel cleaner. I will continue to do mostly Carnivore but at the very least I will aim for less than 20 grams of carbs per day. Intermittent fasting w/ 2 meals a day for 5 years.

I've been carnivore for several years, which has helped me notice my body's reaction when I reintroduce non-carnivore foods. Chocolate, whether higher or lower quality, gives me gastrointestinal symptoms. Those symptoms can vary from moderate to severe depending on the type of chocolate. But I find that most of the time, it's not worth the few minutes of pleasure.

I wish I had known about the oxalates in almonds years ago. I am dealing with the effects of a diet that was previously very high in oxalates. It's so much easier to never over-consume oxalates in the first place, than deal with the months and years of dumping them and hoping you didn't do permanent damage.
