Everybody agrees - nuts are a healthy snack to add to your daily diet. They are rich in fiber, unsaturated fats, and protein, taste great, and can be paired with fruits or added to salads, smoothies, or desserts.

However, not all nuts are created equal. There are some that you should eat less of not necessarily because they’re bad for your health, but because they are harmful to the environment or other people around you. 

So, let’s talk about nuts and what types of nuts you should eat more often and what types you should not.

My god, I am from the cashew district Kollam in Kerala India, there is no force labour or inhumane conditions and it helps lot of people to earn life sustaining income. It’s unbelievable people are spreading falsehood 😢

Cashews are processed, packed and sent to international markets as well as domestic markets from a little state named Kerala, in India. There is no forced labour here, and every employee is decently paid here.

I have been eating cashew nuts, peanuts and almond nut but I feel great with no side effects.

No mention pf Brazil nuts which are extremely beneficial to health, especially for women.
It's important to note that a daily dose of only one or two Brazil nuts is sufficient for the daily requirement of selenium, so they should be eaten in moderation.

In my old age there's lots of foods I must avoid for health reasons (inflammation mostly) but I have found great satisfaction in mixing nuts and pumpkin seeds (all ground and mixed) they are delicious and they actually do not cause me any negative health issues at all, in fact only positive !

Bitter Almonds should be the number one nut for health as they contain cancer killing properties, like apricot kernels.

Almonds and cashews are very nutritious. From what I read Almonds are healthier than pistachios.

Cashew are cheaper in Asia, but pista and walnuts are too expensive. Acorn and chestnut are not even available, so its better to consider availabilty also

I’ve been eating Almonds, Cashew Nuts and Walnuts to help lower my LDL
cholesterol which have had a super beneficial effect. Plus following a Mediterranean diet ;and engaging in more exercise. Much to my GPs delight. Thank you but no thank you to Statins.

This video should be about nutrition. Do not unilaterally re-classify good nuts, which have been generally accepted/ recommended by doctors/nutritionists, as bad nuts and tell people not to eat them only because of political reasons. That is a topic for a separate video.
It’s not the good nut’s fault.

There are so many small farmers in South East Asia who make a modest living from Cashew and you seriously want to demonize a whole nut and destroy all their livelihoods because there is all over the world for a huge number of crops labor abuse? The logic is wrong and would only increase misery if it would be followed.

Walnuts and Pistachio nuts. My absolute favourite. Happy they are on the “good to eat list”.

Meanwhile I just read an article in BBC food placing Almonds, Cashew, and Macademia as the healthier nuts to eat, and Walnuts at the bottom of the list. We're concerned also about the welfare of the environment but healthy nuts to eat should be a separate topic to talk about.

I love cashew nuts. It is really healthy. Regarding those people who worked to make cashew available to us, to them it is their source of income. If they are against the production of cashew, then quit the job and look for some kind of work. Why stick to cleaning cashew nuts? Anyway, these people benefit financially from cleaning cashew nuts. Why shouldn't we eat cashew nuts? It is a healthy nut, don't avoid eating it.
