It’s worth noting that Erik is wearing his helmet when he’s strangling Moira. When Charles tells him “she didn’t do this, Erik. You did” Charles can’t force him to let Moira go. Erik realized on his own that he’d gone too far and released her. Charles doesn’t just have the power to control your mind, he has the power of compassion and reason.

It was joint effort by Magneto and Moira. They both paralyzed Charles.
And honestly Moira shouldn't have to tried to kill him. Like, yeah, what he's doing is wrong, and you need to stop him but killing him is not the way. Aim at his feet to distract him, not his torso and head.
Plus Charles was just behind him, so stray bullet could've injured or killed him instead.

Actually, in my opinion, everyone is at fault for Charles' condition:
Magneto-he was the one who recklessly deflected the bullet to his side to begin with when all he had to do was freeze them and drop them.
Moira-she was the one shooting in the first place, and she should've figured out a better way to distract him.
Charles-his biggest mistake was getting up at that same time that the bullet did.
Everyone else-all they did was just stand there and watch as Charles suffered greatly.
The humans-well we started the war, so we should've stopped!

Basically, everyone had an accidental role in the professor's condition.Any one agree?
