"I didn't know I still had that." As human as it is tragic. His pain made him bury the most cherished memory of his entire life.

I love the tear dropping from Charles eye. Emphasizes that he truly does FEEL the pain of whoever’s mind he’s controlling.

This shows why Magneto is so powerful. After this he did not rely on hate anymore. He relied on his conviction to free his kind from oppression. That conviction is what makes him give it all when he is using his powers, thus making him one of the most powerful mutants to ever live

I’d like to think that this became another one of Magneto’s happiest moments.

Finding his true strength with his closest friend.

Fassbenders version of Magnetos in this film is phenomenal. I can feel his pain and rage. Using Auschewitz ark was a great choice. But this scene gives him soo much depth . They did him justice this movie and would love to see a solo Magneto movie, but only if Fassbender was the actor and it was rated R

I love how Charles asked Erik if he could see into his mind. He always respected people and mutants alike. That's why he was always one of the best X-Men.

This and the coin scene are my favorite scenes with Magneto. The acting, writing, and the score by Henry Jackman “rage and serenity.” This scene always gives me chills.

I really love the part Charles asks Erik for permission before he reads Erik's memory and says thanks to Erik for letting him see the beautiful one.

Truly heartbreaking seeing how they were both truly friends and leaders that just couldn’t agree on the way for their kind to move forward. Like Charles being so powerful and politely asking Eric if he could go into his mind to help him and it brings them both to tears over something very personal is so touching. Then that being the catalyst that shows how magneto pulls off feats equal to gods is just insane. Such a good friends and powerful leaders.

I dont know if it was scripted, i believe not, but the fact Xavier tear went on the right side and Eric from the left is very powerfull, a detail but its great. 2 marvelous actors.

This movie was one of, if not the, best X-men movies they ever made. The friendship between Charles and Eric, the chemistry between the two actors, all of it is just so pitch perfect. Yes they completely ignore their own continuity but sadly it wasn't the first time it happened and honestly everything else about this movie was soooo good, it made me forgive them for it.

What an emotionally powerful scene. If you've ever lost a parent that you loved, just the memory alone of them could make you want to rip that array out of the ground. 😢❤

These two are just perfect in this film. Fassbender and McAvoy are outstanding.

I wish the rest of the films after Days of Future Past had remained in this type of style. They perfectly were able to blend these emotional and serious scenes with comedy. This scene is so beautiful

I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out, but when he sees the memory of Erik and his mother at Hanukkah, he says "Thank you". At the beginning of the movie, Charles immediately figured out Mystique was an imposter because she was acting nice to him, the implication was that his mother never loved him. When he saw that memory in Erik's mind, it was the first time he was able to experience what it was like to be loved by your mother, and it was something he could treasure along with Erik as he brought the memory back for Erik to treasure as well.

It was this moment for me that helped cement Erik and Charles' friendship in the entire X-Men Franchise. Erik finally learns to access all of his power by learning he is more than a rage machine born from trauma. He has other emotions which give him even more strength. It especially helps when you see moments like this reflected in the original trilogy where Magneto does incredible feats of power and all you see on his face is concentration. He is concentrating on this: the point between rage and serenity. The point that allows him to lift far more than he believes should be possible for him but he still manages to do so.

Such a powerful scene. These two actors really are amazing and they had so much chemistry in this movie.

I love how he went from struggling to make it budge with both arms and a full body commitment to doing it with ease by turning one hand. Excellent attention to detail through this entire movie.

With all these bad superhero movies that are coming out now, I notice that this movie was really underappreciated
