At least you don’t have to lift the truck when doing oil changes.

Absolutely true, tanks your mileage and slows you down, but if you offroad you need the biggest tire you can live with on the road. It's best to have a road vehicle and an offeoad vehicle, and don't mix them up.

Don’t forget about your driveshaft….You have to lengthen it and reset the angle of your differential……I almost forgot about the steering parts

One of Scotty's grandkids probably owns that truck, Scotty thinks the kid's stupid, didn't listen to his Grandpa 😂.

We lifted our jeep for the extra ground clearance, not necessarily for off road use, but because where we are there can sometimes be very deep snow in the winter months.
The extra fuel mileage isn't such a concern, it is well worth the extra cost for a vehicle that is more capable of getting us where we need to go.
And on a cold snowy winter day all that matters is getting where you need to and getting back home, and being warm and safe during the journey.

Gotta refer to the rule: big truck=small wiener. Everyone knows the rule…

The bigger wheels and tires will also cause the transmission to fail earlier.

I work in a tire shop and I can get you in a set of tires for your lifted truck for around a grand. Mounted and balanced . I have a set of 35x12.50-20 going on first thing Monday for 1300 so 600 a piece is a little steep . This customer uses his truck to pull heavy equipment and He is getting 50, 000 miles plus out of a set. Also If you buy a set of four tires from us we offer lifetime service. Rotations every 5, 000 Miles, Repairs and Rebalance anytime you need . His total ended up being around 13000 after taxes. But I charge 50 just to patch or repair a tire that size. So with the lifetime service he’s getting a great deal

Today, Scotty's hand movements made me understand better, what "getting high in their trucks" mean.

Have 20s and bigger tires, still look brand new with 40k miles. It’s all about the quality of the tires and also making sure its aligned

The biggest issue with bigger wheels and tires (whether lifted or not) is that the braking system will not work as well as it was designed....bigger brakes with more clamping force will be needed to maintain safety. Plus there's the fact that most who install bigger wheels and tired don't change the differential gears to maintain acceleration abilities.
