Outer Foot Pain with Plantar Fasciitis

Показать описание
It is quite common to develop outer (lateral) foot pain especially if you've had it for a long time because it hurts to bear weight on the medial side of the foot. Common lateral foot diagnoses can be peroneal tendinitis, cuboid syndrome, 5th metatarsal stress fracture so keep those in mind but most of the time it's simply over pressure and overuse.

Literally got diagnosed with plantar fascitis and the same Dr who diagnosed me said the side foot pain isn't connected because that's not the right tendon. 😅 BOY AM I GLAD I SAW THIS VIDEO MANNN time to do more stretches🎉

Thank you! I was wondering for the longest why I keep having pain towards the outside of foot even though every Plantar Fasciitis video tells me it's mostly in the middle or heel. I'll take your advice.

Thank you for this knowledge. I've had plantar faciitis for many years and the heel pain was excruciating. I had no idea this pain along the side of my foot was the same culprit!

Thank you. I’ve been dealing with this for over 20 years. Your description of the symptoms finally allowed me to feel “heard”.

I know of a few podiatrists that need your videos. I’m a patient with plantar fasciitis and have the same problem. And when I mention I have fibromyalgia, they dismiss it. But I KNOW they’re connected. They seemed confused that I have (all over foot pain) exactly as your describing!

I have been experiencing this exact pain on the outside of my foot for many months and my doctor couldn’t find anything wrong. Now that I know what it is, I will be going out and finding some supportive insoles! Thank you!

Thank you from a very fed up lady in the UK! . The video was brief but taught me a lot. Most of my pain is lateral, in fact I was beginning to wonder if the PF diagnosis was correct. This makes sense.

I'm suffering from that now. It hurts like hell. I've been wearing special socks, which usually help, but right now, nothing is helping. Thank you for the video. A trip to the local foot doctor is in my future.

I have plantar fasciitis WITH posterior tibial tendonitis and I also put all of my weight on the outside of my right foot as well. That's why I still have trouble walking bc waiting on the medical card for a brace is taking too long. I bought one today. I'm glad you understand why I don't walk right while working doubles and people seem to think I'm faking! I'm just shocked that I basically caused my own tendonitis.

I took my cheep sole inserts out one week ago, I didn’t think it was worth the difficulty I was having putting on my shoes. Now my outside of one foot is killing me. Good info here

Hi, I was suffering from the plantar fasciitis for about 4 years which happened because of the intense badminton I used to play. I consulted a physiotherapist and went through various treatments he used to give like russian, tense, waxing, IR treatments etc and many exercises. This helped me a lot and the main points of pain due to PF are gone. However, I am still suffering from the outside foot pain probably due to 5th metatarsal injuries. There are two points in the 5th metatarsals which are the centre of the pain, and the pain is not going. This is a really serious problem. I wear archfit slippers and shoes as per the recommendations of the doctor. It is very difficult for me to stand for long time even after wearing the archfit footwears. My X-ray and MRI reports are completely normal. One place of pain is just before the cuboid in the bottom, and second point of pain is after the 5th metatarsal bone. Could you suggest something?
