Oh my gosh I thought I was the ONLY one hallucinating vehicular sounds!! I hear car horns all day long. Not every day. But when it happens, ugh. Thank you for your channel. You help someone like me not feel so alone.

My auditory hallucinations are music, orchestral, in the distance. Or people conversing in low voices in the distance. It's more pronounced at night after I'm in bed. I used to use white noise (fan) at night to help, but that doesn't work anymore. In fact, the white noise now incorporates itself into my "normal" auditory hallucinations. I also have physical hallucinations. I have a vibration/current running thru my legs pretty much 24/7. It can be more intense sometimes than other times.

Ya know people with that. Im schizeffectibe. My voices pretended they were human. I got over the repetativeness. So now I hardly hear them for 2 years. Just mumbles here and there. I pray to God and it goes away. Along with good sleep and meds.

I believe I experienced this when I heard sounds coming from inside my ear, and it sounded like a bed bug or ear wig crawling around inside. Then, it “peeked its head out” and I was shocked as I thought I actually had a bug crawl into my head. Next, I shone my phone light at my ear and I “felt” it fully come out, “brushed it off” and there was nothing.

This happened at around 5:40am.

I actually rarely hear voices. To me I mostly hear whispering, gunshots or explosions

Just before my brother had his seizure he heard the music on his car radio station playing back to him as if on repeat.. he said it sounded like it was directly behind his left ear. He passed away 7 months later to the day.

I hallucinate tapping, like on a window. It happens so often. I also hear footsteps when nobody is there. It’s so scary, but footsteps, especially fast ones like what I hear, are the things that really get me.

It feels so good to learn that it can be other things, cause i always hear animal noises instead of voices.

The first time I experienced auditory hallucinations it sounded like someone was walking up my stairs screaming. For some reason I could not move. It was real scary good to know I’m not the only one with auditory hallucinations

I hear a muffled sound too. Mine sounds like there's weather forecast from a tv that's in another room behind closed doors

Thank you! I’ve heard keys dropping on a counter before. Like when you just get home and may set your keys on a table or counter.

I get auditory hallucinations too (not from schizophrenia though) and I hear muffled music most of the time. It sounds like someone is having a party across the hall. I can't make out the music, but I can tell you the genre and what instruments are playing. I also frequently hear nearby breathing, snoring, and heartbeats that aren't my own. Not sure which ones bother me more tbh.

In my childhood I had fever and i was hallucinating I guess, I heard so many people breaking our door in anger like they wanted to kill me. I quickly ran upstairs with my sister and told her they're out. After a while I remember I got conscious and there was nothing like that

I hear people that aren't there sometimes. I mostly hear phantom music. It's very complicated to explain other than I have listened to lots of music most of that day. Then It all jumbles together making this beautiful composition based on what I have listened to. I really need to recreate what I hear in a DAW. I really don't like hearing voices, because we can have full conversations in my head.

I'll tell you my experience which I think what this means for me at least.
Auditry psychosis was triggered when I used to abuse solvents, butane gas, & a lot of it things considered.
I have the memory of symptoms which can still haunt me but I know now definitely that my brain was malfunctioning.
I couldn't bear listening to music with vocals because it felt like the vocalist was mocking me & I swore that they were saying my name & calling me a monster. I was experiencing visual hallucinations while watching TV as well, so I couldn't watch TV either.
All I could do was listen to instrumental music only, with no voices.
Since ny experience, I have not abused any solvents & I am confident that I will never ever again!
It took about 2 weeks for most of the psychosis to clear out & I begged my own brain that I won't hurt it anymore, i cried & willed & pleaded with my brain & in the end, my brain forgave me😊❤
All the psychosis disappeared & I was thankful that I got my mind back without any lasting damage. The amount of solvents I took, I should of been a vegetable in a wheelchair with brain damage!
I am so thankful & thinking about how I am now, I'm happy 😊

The helicopter noise, as well as ringing, can be the result of ear issues. I have non-stop ringing and sometimes piercing sounds and yes, it might feel like it’s coming from somewhere. (I also have that condition where I hear loud bangs in my sleep. I used to wake up really frightened. Now, if the dog isn’t concerned, I realise my brain caused the noise.) When I have a strong immune reaction, my inner ear fills up and I hear helicopters.

Once at work, a co-worker was telling me that she kept hearing a helicopter the night before and kept going outside to see if they were there. I told her to get to her doctor because she had an ear infection that was hurting her yet. She went and yep, that’s what was happening. She said the doctor said I should consider becoming a doctor. When you have a weird body, you learn a lot about bodies. I don’t have schizophrenia.
