Hearing voices inside the head is called as hallucination. Normally there is a signal for the environment and the brain receives it and produces it as audio, or sensations such as touch, vision, etc. In hallucination even if there is no signal coming from outside, our brain creates and image or sound and this comes out as hallucination. Hearing voice is considered as a psychotic symptom. So this means a person is not able to differentiate between reality and what is actually happening in his mind. So hearing voices is commonly a symptom of schizophrenia and people can hear voices in different ways. It can be that the voice is talking to them directly or sometimes multiple people are commenting on them or multiple, people are talking among themselves, so that is why in schizophrenia are very paranoid, fearful, and agitated about their environment. So hallucinations can occur in other 5 senses. So visual hallucination, taste hallucination and hallucinations of touch, sometimes there are other causes for hearing voices. So this can happen during neurological causes like seizures.

Brain tumor I am scared cause am fine I don't use drugs, ,,, but I feel sad and depressed I heard loud voices of people like a crowd in my head and I try to ignore these voices by headphones and music but nothing works Bcz these voices are inside my head

I'm also hearing voices and sometimes it also get creepy vision of my beloved persons...even though they are not doing it or never did it l I can imagine that visually..but I don't want to do this.. Hear voice saying badwords in mind. Specifically when at praying. What is it. Doc.. Precribed fluvoxine. But this voice is still on. Please help.
