You, my man, are a legend. I've been struggling trying to learn how to fix the exposure from the videos I took during my trip abroad. They all came dull and unbalanced. First timer GoPro user here. The good old GoPro Hero 7 black one. It wasn't untill a couple days in my trip that I figured out the exposure picker tool. By then obviously the other footage needed retouching. I went online and read a couple of howto's until I stumbled onto your video. Man, it took me just a couple minutes to go from average to great footage. Thanks so much for sharing. Great job :-)

Dear Camaro Time,

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the helpful video you posted on your YouTube channel, "So you spent all day recording only to find out the exposure was wrong? Let's get it fixed." I recently found myself in a frustrating situation where I had spent the entire day recording video with my five-year-old son, only to realize the exposure was off when I got home.

Your video provided clear and concise instructions on how to fix the exposure in post-production, which was incredibly helpful. I was able to salvage the footage and create a video that I am now proud to share with family and friends.

Thank you for taking the time to create such a helpful video and for sharing your knowledge with the community. Your dedication to helping others is truly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Baltazar

Thanks so much for this super simple fix. I've been struggling for literally years trying to get started in video and if I had known this one simple thing I would be sooo much further along. The only thing this video is missing is to remind folks to give you a thumbs up, which I did. I'm surprised it doesn't have more.

How do you stop the timeline from making like a ton of images out of the video? It is like it is trying to show the video as individual images (in the timeline). The program knows it shouldnt do it but I cant find the setting to turn the number of images down or off. Thanks

How exactly does blowing out the sky fix your exposure? You just made the shadows look better while making your horizon line look like total shit

Thanks, Pete, sure does help. It takes a long time to learn all this stuff. You sure you make it look easy. But you have probably Thousands at least hundreds of hours of experience. If a person really wants to learn they really have to be determined and keep on learning and practicing. Once a person figures out what the tools mean and do, it would become easier I am sure. It would be nice to be near someone who could be there to help me for a day or two. I would get the hang of it. I still get frustrated with applying the sound etc. for some reason my sound was really slow or not matching. I have watched the other videos you have made. There are a few other videos on how to learn. I guess I still need the will to keep at it. The rewards are worth it. Thank's! "My spell check says Gloomy, " Sorry. Lol
