I have had vertigo only three days (compared to others on here) but it's been hell. I had a terrible bout of vertigo once and I was spinning so fast I didn't think I could even do it, but miraculously I was able to get into position and as my body finished rotating over itself the vertigo was COMPLETELY GONE. The spinning never returned and it was like someone pressing a reset button. The biggest challenge was building up the nerve to do the maneuver because I expected it to make me worse in all honesty and I already felt so terrible.

Important note: the direction you turn your head is opposite depending on which ear is the problem! If if got worse (and didn't improve some minutes later), turn the other way.

As someone who has suffered from Vertigo, since the age of 16, and will be 48 this October. It is still one of the most scariest and debilitating condition.
My whole equilibrium goes, and I feel so off balance, nauseous and yet? You would think that having had dealt with Vertigo for all these decades, that when I have bout’s of dizziness, or the world feel like it is moving around me? I’d be used to it by now?

No. I am not. It makes me end up still having a panic attack on top.

I also get Nystagmus alongside the Vertigo.

You are left feeling helpless. Having to rely on other’s. For thing’s you would do day to day, yourself.
You cannot drive. Even walking is a task.
I cannot walk a straight line.

I was taken to hospital quite frequently when younger. I’d end up having injections of Maxalon or Stemitil. They only helped with the nausea. Not the Vertigo itself.

I now use medication, called Serc. You cannot take an antihistamine after being administered Serc.

If taken correctly? The vertigo does subside.

I fell last night. I had gotten up from my bed and it was if I was on a banana peel. I had no balance and everything was spinning. Thank God I only ended up with several sprained toes. It was my first vertigo experience. Now I sit on the side of the bed before getting up. And I'm careful when turning my head and pay attention to what position I'm in. The nausea makes it worse. I appreciate this vid and will try the technique tomorrow.
