Video of deputy slamming woman to ground in Lancaster released by L.A. County Sheriff's Department

Officials with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released body-worn camera footage of a disturbing use of force incident in Lancaster that, according to a late Monday night announcement by the department, is currently under investigation.

I noticed they weren't charged with theft. Arrested for resisting arrest. That needs to stop. No more resisting charges when there is no crime.

Its incredibly suspicious the officer didn't want to be recorded. What crime was he committing that he was trying to cover up. If he was acting within the law he shouldn't have had any issue being recorded. Only criminals hate being recorded.

Police are trained to deescalate A five year old could have done a better job.
It goes like this.
“ mam you are being detained as there has been a report of a robbery.
You’re free to film but I would like you to calm down, please have a seat on the curb.
If we are wrong you are free to go, but for now I would like your cooperation.
If she continues screaming, then ask her politely again.
Calm voice, calm body.
These two citizens did not rob a bank and don’t look dangerous.
They are so many wonderful police officers, these two aren’t among them.

There’s no reason to treat elderly people like this, it’s called elder abuse, some people shouldn’t be cops, I bet he wouldn’t treat his son like this but maybe his wife I’m sure gets all the abuse, power hungry fool.

She was so many feet away from this officer filming which is legal in California. He approached her. Untrained, violent cops should be in jails like the criminals they are. Sickening to see since I formerly work for law enforcement. His response is disgraceful.
