My son asked do cops shoot us? So I brought him in to the police station and the duty officer let my son use his radio and talked with him for about 20 minutes. Such a cool experience

We have police officers in our hometown who arrive at yearly before the bells ring to help young students with reading assignments and homework. They also stop by the neighborhoods to play basketball in the afternoons. It’s a small town, but the kids of all colors are hopefully learning to trust them and make better choices. This little girl touched this officer’s heart! I wish people knew how kind most officers really are.
