I bought all 4 mounts from 1AAuto, and with the help of these videos replaced all 4 in less than 3 hours. I am not a mechanic and have never done this type of job before. I did it in my drive with jack stands and hydraulic floor jacks. I will say that I started with the passenger side mount, and once I had the engine raised and the cross member/cradle lowered for this mount, I was able to remove the front mount without having to remove the bracket, and was able to move right over to the transmission mount before dropping the engine.

I just did all 4 mounts. Worst was the transmission (drivers side) one. Corroded through and leaked all its oil out… big drips for about a week then stopped. I did the front after both sides and while I still had the front frame undone. Was easy to jack the engine and drop the frame to get this out. That top bolt though… tried for a while however he did it and ended up giving up and took the oil filter out then it was easy with long extension. Tape your extensions together to save a headache. You don’t lose much oil especially with engine cold. Now a bunch of symptoms are gone with the new mounts! Awesome!

Good Video. I did this on my 2012 Enclave. I replaced all of the mounts. Basically, you use one jack to hold the motor/tranny up while the other jack will lower the frame. I also loosened the bolt holding the frame behind the tranny (under the driver's door). This allowed the frame to lower and the engine stayed up and I was able to install the mount. I tried doing this with one jack and it was a fail, but two jacks (like the video shows) worked great.

So I have replaced mine 2 times now. I since replaced the water pump. Found the upper mount broke. After watching this I see why my top mount was broke. I just loosened the bottom mount bolts and jacked up the motor without taking off the bracket. I must jave broke the top mount. So dont do what i did. Should have watched this

When these go bad it causes the exhaust to flex too much which can cause leaks. Who would have guess- leaky, loud exhaust had less to do with the actual exhaust and much to do with another, seemingly unrelated component. Always identify the root cause- try of out own health as well- nutrition and exercise=prevention focus. They prefer us focus on their expensive treatments instead. As it is for humans and vehicles alike, a little maintenance can go a long way.

I’m having a squeak that I thought was front passenger side suspension, but after hitting a dear all of those parts were replaced. Now I hear the squeak on start up before the car is moving and the engine mounts seem like the obvious culprits. Has anyone else experienced this?
