Good hours of sleep are important, I usually get sleep paralysis when I don't get enough sleep

Also from my experience if you sleep to much, and then sleep again in 2-3 hours you might get sleep paralysis.

I remember when I had sleep paralysis nightmares for 2 nights in a row but I can guarantee you that it causes more if you sleep on your back and when you eat heavy before sleeping

Thank you for the knowledge ! I experienced sleep paralysis last night for 30 minutes. I know because when I escaped it I saw the time. I was sexually abused as kid for 8 years. And experienced other abuse, you think that can cause it as well? I’ve been going through this since I was small.

Sleep paralysis can easily be explained by the results of it, some people take it for granted and believe it’s religious or “ghost sorcery” whatever. The reality is much more technical and complex than this, and lays within the systems neuroscience of the brain.

I’m an electrical and electronic engineering student, which electrical engineering among the hardest occupations in the world, the abstract thinking, mathematics and complex systems is an essential trait for us, but studying the circuitry of the brain that involve sleep paralysis means orienting through levels, levels and more levels of complex systems just to get a sense on how these brain systems work and a lot of mutually interconnected systems.

It’s humbling about how complex these systems are, I studied the principles of REM atonia, the sentience and consciousness processing division of the CNS, and the principles of dreaming all without a single circuit diagram to relate to. It’s disturbing to know how these systems work, the mere knowledge of these systems working and how they operate during my sleep has kept me up at night with anxiety actually. It’s a topic that eventually unfolds an understanding on sentience itself, especially on the level of general dreaming and the neocortex.

I just had sleep paralysis. Well I am totally fine couse I already knew about this thing. I was actually wearing headphones and listing to song and then I fell asleep. After nearly one hour I woke up but only my eyes were open and i had my breath stuck. I was unable to breathe but this thing had happened to me many time so I was well aware of it specially because itwas not night I was taking afternoon nap I had a window infront of me which was a little bit open so I did not had much severe fear. The most scary thing for me is that I was unable to control my breath. I just started breathing slow and fast. I had different kind of experience I was trying to move my hand and it felt like it was moving but actually it wasn't so I tried to bite my finger I was feeling like I was biting but it actually did not move an inch. I finally woke up but I was super sleepy and I wanted to enjoy music while having rest so I again closed my eyes but just after some second I was again in state of sleep paralysis and i thought (in state of sleep paralysis) that why is this happening and what can I do to wake up easily and started trying to wake up in different ways I had multiple sleep paralysis at once on purpose though I was interrupted by my brother but when I woke up and got up from bed I felt like everything that I did was like I was dreaming whole time. I feels unreal that I experienced something like that but I believe it was 100% real couse I remember listening to songs I can name those and i remember the window that was open. I know this comment is so big but l still shortened it if anyone thinks it is fake reply me I will give you more details. But if you are a doctor please give me some explanation. Maybe I made many mistakes in writing this sorry but my English is actually good but I am in hurry. I am a 15 year old and English is not my first language.

I am relly worried about this because whenever I dream during a dream if i understand that i am dreaming (i don't know why) everyone in me dream turns into somehow a monster and attack me then i try to wake up and then black i am on my bed and i can't move something that looks like a demon it tries to choke me and i cant scream or fight back i am there trying to wake up and when then i think i wake up and it continues like a loop
