You awake from a slumber, you are alert, eyes open. But there is something wrong, you can’t move, you’re unable to talk, you may even have the strong feeling that somebody is there in the room with you. As the panic begins to set in, you wonder if this might be the end… and then the mystery force releases its paralysing grip on your body, leaving you a little shaken and bewildered.

This might have the trappings of an introduction to a low budget horror film but the truth is more natural than supernatural. What you have just experienced is sleep paralysis

In today's video we take a look at the interesting science behind a sleep phenomenon known as sleep paralysis, which sees sufferers being completely immobilized and unable to speak. Covering the symptoms, causes, treatments and more!

Quick advice from someone who suffered daily from sleep paralysis, the best way to end it quickly is to focus on a single finger or single toe and try and move it, this will almost always work!!

Great seeing a new educational content creator on the platform. Remember: nothing controversial + family friendly = YouTube revenue.

Please make a video about former British colonies.

I get sleep paralysis 100% of the time after a long drinking binge involving vodka. Meaning 3 solid days of being drunk and then completely stopping. Within 24 hours of my last drink, I will have multiple episodes of sleep paralysis. Sometimes 30 times while trying to sleep. But I never quite get any real sleep. I'm just sort of laying in my bed for 18 hours, trying to recover from the alcohol abuse I just put my body through.

These who are expressing they had sleep paralysis for the first time and they manage it easily because they hear what it was, WRONG.
So many have that experience and we know how it feels but we were never been able to wake up easily .

It has been happening me to randomly over the past 6 months thats why i am here, has maybe occurred 10 times now, my family knows about it but don't exactly know how terrifying it can be until last night when i woke everyone up cause i was screaming "fuck off get away from me" in my sleep
They woke up before i did and they came in to tell me off for the noise but woke me up properly and could see how terrified i was and i am 35 not a kid
Anyone know what causes it why all of a sudden i happen to be having this experience, how to prevent it

Great presentations! Please can you tell me which packages you use to create your videos? I am about to start a new job as a tutor and I am desperate to avoid “Death by PowerPoint”. I am looking for anything I can use to make really dry subjects more engaging.
