Re-reading is a number one for me.

I never actually get bored of my stories because I'm such a good storyteller (in a non-cocky way). I say this in the sense that I have such a wild imagination and I know how to make up good stories.

My situation is that I get tired of actually writing it. I never get bored of the story itself, I get tired and lose motivation in the process of making it come to life. But when I go back and re-read, I end up falling in love again and that gives me my next dose of energy for the next few chapters. It's so bad that it takes me months to write a few chapters because I get so bored of the writing part.

I think the trick to re-reading - whether its because you are bored of your story or tired of writing, is to actually give yourself a break from that story, allow yourself to miss it for a while, then re-read.

I wrote again for the first time in like 4 weeks today, since I got the flu and it lead to writers block. Getting back, I wrote a scene I was struggling with the whole time but I got through it. I can't really tell any1 irl and this community is great so I just wanted to share :)

I just made a wallpaper for my characters aesthetics and it just made me start to love my idea and my characters again. My current WIP is the longest thing I've worked on and it's only been a few months, and sometimes I get tired of it. So then I just take breaks from it, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

This helps so much! Usually, I start a new project, write about 5-10 thousand words, get burnt out and then start a new one. Rinse and repeat. I'm excited to apply this knowledge to my new projects! ❤️

Omg, this came at just the right time! I just was talking about this in my last video lol. I feel like it’s so easy to bail on a project after spending so much time with it. It doesn’t even matter how much you love writing. Thanks for the very necessary tips! 💕

I am not getting tired of my wip(s) because I love that world I created but I get sometimes frustrated at myself mostly for not being able to tell the story as it flows :')) when I get stuck I usually just switch to drawing my characters.

I'm so in a blah stage rn. My characters are currently in Virginia, a place I grew up visiting. And I struggling to get them through that part and into the next state, a state I've hardly been to but absolutely love. Also, u feel like the way I write (following the characters' lead) too much drama happened too fast. It works great, and it's amazing even in rough draft stages, but I've never had drama like that happen so fast in a project.

Thank you so much! I’m currently writing a plot for the book I’m making. I don’t have a title for it yet, but its about this girl named amber who has been looking for her missing dad for a couple years. She gets this unknown call saying they know where he is but she first has to complete a scavenger hunt. I’m not gonna go too too far into detail but basically she keeps finding mindless clues (like pieces of clothing that weren’t even her fathers). Anyways, the villain of this book happens to be her best friend.
I get so much inspiration from you and I can’t wait to continue my book! So again, thank you!✨

Tysm for the advice! It's going to help a lot because I often get bored with my story, even though I know so many exciting things are going to happen in it! ^^

This was very helpful! I was recently thinking of scrapping my story, but I decided to take a small break to read and to do other things. Recently I've been plotting my story out and creating character boards so I can get a sense of my characters! I also recently just found your channel and I has been very helpful!

Thanks for these great tips 😊 what I sometimes do is that I try to build/plot a past event that might have led to to the current situation in my book or a side story that's not gonna be influencing the main story majorly but just a tiny bit. Usually it's not only fun to create new characters that also comply to the rules of the same universe I created but to also find the connection points to the main story :D

i literally just started but just want to say that a huge help for me when writing is music <3 finding a song or artist/band that inspires you or reminds you of your work can be such a big help honestly when trying to encourage yourself to write. i listened to a band (the crane wives) sooo much when working on a project recently to the point that it got harder to write while not listening to music lmao, so it def helped get me in the mood to work on the project :D
