My favourite technique is to have a distraction sheet by my desk. Whenever I'm distracted, I wrote it down on the sheet and get back to my work but I have all my distractions written down to revisit at a later date. It can be something small like replying to an email or something bigger like remembering to watch the new episode of my favourite show!

Its funny now that places are opening up I find myself FAR more productive sitting at a coffee shop with my airpods in working while I listen to my instrumental focus playlist. Something about the environment makes it really easy to focus for me personally. I get things done WAY faster and there are little to no distractions compared to when Im at home.

The sketches in the video look really good!
I've got to the point right now where I've sort of started embracing studies. I used to see them as boring but by the number of assignments and projects that we're given, I look forward to studying by myself, it's not a lot of time that remains for self studies (about an hour or 2/day) but it has become more enjoyable.

Because of you I bought a Kindle and started reading Harry Potter ~ a month ago, already in #4 now and I love the effects it has on my ability to focus and how more calm I am. Appreciate your work ❤❤

O termo "epidemia de distrações" é perfeito! Sempre penso sobre isso, mas não conseguia achar uma palavra para descrever. Desde o início da pandemia tenho sofrido bastante com essas possíveis distrações e com as demandas da casa em home office. Adorei as dicas!

Something that I found quite heloful is to have a comfortable environment for your work. If the environment is not comfortable for work, it will be extremely hard to start working when you are running low on willpower.

In college I sometimes studied in a lab sealed off from outside sounds, with those weird spikey anti sound triangles on the walls and ceilings. I didn’t get distracted and I often lost track of time. I might think 2 hours had passed when it was really 8. Perfect place to study.

Kind reminder that if you're someone with ADHD like me, these tips might not work the same way for you. That is not to say they're not valuable or useful, but I just want to remind you that's ok and you shouldn't feel like you're doing something wrong if this doesn't click right away for you. I always struggled with my ADHD and using tips like his have been a life changer but they did come with much struggle to adjust to at first because I'm not only fighting average distractions, I'm fighting my own condition constantly.

It's nice to know that you think long term and specifically about death which a lot of people avoid to think about or talk about...I feel like this is the key for your productive mindset
