I did my limelights yesterday. Decided to make them into tree form and i did have to stake the trunk with a metal fence stake and short bungie cord to make their trunk perfectly straight. Looks amazing and the point was to allow air and sunlight through for the plants in the same bed! Im so excited. Then we did my neighbors, and hers needed two or 3 trunks just from shape of her limelights and so she will have multi stem tree form ones. We're so excited. With hers she now has tons of space under her new "trees" to plant bulbs or other things!!!! I see u were doing the same on some of yours. You are one of my go to gardeners as your excellent!

I am watching from Cincinnati, Ohio and we are having our crazy transition to spring weather! 20 degrees and snowing one day, then 65 and sunny the next! I grow limelight hydrangeas similar to yours and LOVE them. They are tough shrubs! One year it was a very wet and extremely windy winter and one of them fell over. I noticed it and went out to save it! I poured compost all around the roots and fertilizer, then stood it back up and added some heavy stones around the base to keep it from being blown over again while the roots developed further. It rewarded me last summer with it’s usual fantastic display of beautiful white blooms! I also grow Strawberry sundae which is a large shrub and Bobo hydrangea which grows about 4ft tall. I’m going to try little Quick fire fabs around my front tree that was limbed up last year to add some interesting texture and color where the grass didn’t want to grow well. Quick fire fabs are suppose to bloom earlier than other hydrangeas.I’ll be watching to see how yours do with the same tree root situation! Adore your channel and can’t wait to see the roses and hydrangeas in bloom again! You are a huge inspiration for my garden! Thank you 🌻

Watching from Brooklyn, Ohio, USA. So far, I have a Pinky Winky, a Little Quickfire, a couple Little Lime Punch, a couple Bobo, and a couple of Firelight Tidbits. My favorite keeps changing between the Little Quickfire, Little Lime Punch and the Firelight Tidbit... 🤪 This year, I am planning to add Incrediballs, Incrediball Blush, Invincibell Ruby and Limetta, and hopefully, a few more David Austin roses! Obviously, I've been planning all winter!!!

Watching from Ontario Canada and we are still covered in snow, looking forward to the day when I can be in the garden again,

I removed the blooms from my hydrangeas before winter as I find they all get floppy with wet snow,

Hi Marta, while I wait for the mounds of snow to melt, I am also thinking of widening my borders to add more hydrangeas! I am still in the experimental phase of trying out various ones, limelight, bobo, strawberry sundae, little lime punch, Puffer, fish, little lime, and others. I am also experimenting on whether or not I made the correct decision on leaving the panicles over the winter as they did bend down from the heavy snow. 🥰🌸❄️🇨🇦

I am growing in Columbus Ohio. I grow tardiva, phantom, limelight prime, firelight tidbit, pinky winky, bobo, pink incrediball, pink tuff stuff, little lamb, a larger firelight, and a few more I cannot recall the name of. Weather this week should be good to be in garden 50’s and 60’s. I enjoy watching Marta and her beautiful garden.

I have a wide variety of pannicle hydrangeas growing in our zone 6b, Connecticut borders. I love the serrated Tuff Stuff Ah Has for their size, structure and colors. My favorite is Little Quick Fire. The open structure of the panicles gives them a lacy airy appearance. I haven’t cut anything yet. Until two days ago, we had a foot of ice and snow on the ground. Another week and the ground should be dry enough to work in. Weeds will be roaring to life.

I'm still dreaming of spring so no pruning for a couple of months yet. I wish I could have hydrangeas but apparently the deer love them as much as I do.
