Pruning Panicle Hydrangeas

Austin visits with Owen as he prunes back panicle hydrangeas for winter. Panicle hydrangeas along with Smooth aka arborescens hydrangeas bloom on new growth, so they are able to be pruned at anytime. Select a bud at a lower level down the stem that you are satisfied with, and cut all stems uniformly around the entire plant. This is great to get your hydrangea back in shape for the next growing season.
