Thank you....after watching 4 videos I’m happy to find this one. You actually told and showed where to prune. Great video

I just learned how to do this a couple of years ago, and by uniformly cutting back the stems, have been able to shape the hydrangea bush into a nice, round shape, which is what I wanted. And I also like to prune in the Spring. It's much prettier to have the snow on top of the old flowers.

Very informative video, thanks for clarifying when to prune and why; and nice to know you can do either Spring or Fall pruning depending upon what works for you; I like Fall pruning because I am cleaning up the beds and mulching anyway and all I have to do is wait for the new buds and bulbs in Spring!

I finally found your video. I watched it last fall and my new growth was awesome.

Thank You for the video. My hydrangeas get beat up and broken every year buy snow load. I’m going to prune before the snow this year.

Hello, Stacey! Thanks for this video! Have you ever planted a hydrangea on a slope? Will it grow upwards, upright, after compensating for the slope? Or is it going to droop over down the incline and tip over if I don't assist it and growing upwards? It's not a huge incline. Maybe 35°...

Thanks for the advice. I'm assuming this applies to all types of hydrangeas.

I have seen/heard it said to take out the small spindly branches as well. Along with that the crossing and interior clustered branches which impact airflow, as well should be pruned out. Would you agree with these two suggestions?

This is our first year with hydrangeas in snowy and cold upstate NY. I'm wondering if I am risking branch breakage by letting the spent flowers of our Panicle Zinfin Doll go through the winter - we get plenty of snow here in upstate NY

Do you ship out directly to customers? I live in a small rural town in BC Canada( zone 3) And want to start a memorial garden for my grandma who just passed away. I am wanting 8 fire light hydrangeas. Vesseys is sold out and I can't find a nursery who has these in stock online. I really don't want to wait another year if possible. Thank you ❤

I prune mine in the fall because I am in zone 9b and my hydrangea begins to bloom in the spring. Does that make sense? I also wanted to dry my blooms because they were so pretty ....little lime.

I don’t see buds on many of my branches. Do I still take 1/3rd off?
