My ex was dx with NPD via marriage counseling. I moved out and he took my dog to the vet to be PTS. My vet was wary and kept my dog. He was suspicious because 1) my ex never attended vet appointments, 2) I had never NOT been there. Veterinarian called and asked me to come to the office. He kindly said ‘I don’t need to know what is going on, but Flash is showing signs of arthritis and pain and these meds will help but he’s not bad enough to consider euthanasia.’ Then he told me the rest of the story!! So glad he was attentive.

Narcissism is not the same as narcissistic personality disorder to those saying otherwise. Just like you can be anxious and not have anxiety. And personality disorders from what I understand are fairly rare

Is it a disorder though? Or just how that person is.. unique to themselves, I don’t think you can pick and choose your personality, not saying people can’t change or make better/worse decisions, but to sum up a person’s whole personality as a disorder seems rather arbitrary
