In this video; I show you 5 of my favorite exercises, all based off the simple plank.
As always, keeping it simple is always best!
Here are my recommendations for each movement:
2-3 Sets of Each Movement
1. Plank
-Make sure you are squeezing as HARD as you can, and following the exact cues in the video.
-Work to create a tension in your midsection by driving your elbows into the ground as hard as you can, and driving the balls of your feet into the ground as hard as you can.
-Simultaneously, look to pull your elbows to your feet, and feet to your elbows.
BEGINNERS: 15-30 Second Hold
INTERMEDIATE: 30-45 Second Hold
EXPERTS: 45-1 Minute Hold
-If you need more than this; you are not squeezing hard enough.
2. Plank with Leg Lifts
BEGINNERS: 5 Leg Lifts Each Leg
INTERMEDIATE: 10 Leg Lifts Each Leg
EXPERTS: 15 Leg Lifts Each Leg
3. Plank with Sideways Touch
BEGINNERS: 5 Leg Lifts Each Leg
INTERMEDIATE: 10 Leg Lifts Each Leg
EXPERTS: 15 Leg Lifts Each Leg
4. Plank with Knee to Elbow
BEGINNERS: 5 Leg Lifts Each Leg
INTERMEDIATE: 10 Leg Lifts Each Leg
EXPERTS: 15 Leg Lifts Each Leg
5. Plank with Leg Up & Over
BEGINNERS: 5 Leg Lifts Each Leg
INTERMEDIATE: 10 Leg Lifts Each Leg
EXPERTS: 15 Leg Lifts Each Leg
