How To Make Healthy Habits Stick

This week, my good friend Dr Ayan Panja returns to the #FBLM podcast and and puts me in the hot seat!

We talk about behaviour change and the science behind my new book Feel Better In 5, how to make habits stick, the importance of human connection when trying to make lifestyle change and so much more!

Most of what we do in any given day isn't choice - it's habit. So the way to make a new behaviour turn into a long term habit is to attach it to a pre-existing habit. If we don't do this, then we dramatically reduce the changes of these new habits standing the test of time.

How many of you have tried to start a new health regime but given up after a short time?

Let me know below what habits you plan to attach your health snacks too - whether it’s boiling the kettle, brushing your teeth or getting the kids ready for bed!

So helpful! I have come from below ground zero from Savage violence at a doctors which continued online threats gaslighting engaging the NYPD in joining in breaking laws rather than apologize and take responsibility so I stop brushing my teeth I know people always complement me on my smile but this sounds kind of funny but when I heard Dr. Chatterjee say two minutes to brush her teeth I said OK let me try and brush my teeth twice a day for two minutes so I had to lower the bar because normally it would take me more than two minutes so if you're really really hurting I find just lowering the bar if I can do something for one minute that's great if I can do some sit ups or squats or calf raises with my hand against the wall for support for one minute that's great so sometimes you have to start extra small if you're really really in bad shape
