Something not mentioned that is recommended by numerous eye specialist in the United States, is to only use "Preservative Free" eye drops for dry eyes.

I have moderate to severe dry eye. I take flax seed oil and fish oil which keep mine lubricated and no need to get prescription meds. I take one gel capsule of Flax seed at 1000mg and two gel caps of fish oil at 1, 000mg each. For the flaxseed I buy from NOW and the premium fish oil is from Natures Way. Both can be ordered online.

Substantially cutting my carbohydrate intake completely resolved my dry eye problem. Same for dry mouth.

At my recent eye exam my optometrist said I have dry eyes so I’ve started using artificial tears. My only complaint is that they are expensive.

Great “idea” for a topic! Driving long distances in the winter with fans blowing can cause dry eyes and then you need those drops to prevent blurry vision.

For older women it could be estrogen decline.i had dry eyes starting in perimenopause. After I started hormone replacement my eyes became less dry

0:10 Oral omega 3 fish oil helps as well, takes a few weeks to kick in. And artificial tears (preservatives free).

Hi guys thanks for that information on dry eyes. It’s something I suffer with. I found out accidentally that when I can’t see properly with blurry vision It’s because of the dryness. After I’ve used the drops vision all comes clear like magic! 👍😃

My Opthamologist has me using warm compresses for 10 minutes a day and eye drops. It seems to be helping.Great video!

Cutting out gluten eliminated my dry eye! My eye doctor thought I was taking something because it was so dramatically different than the year before!

Use warm compression like steamed cloth or cloth soaked in hot water for cheaper solutions

I had terribly dry eyes but changed my diet about 6 years ago to low carb. My eyes used to sting even putting in drops because they were so dry. It solved my problem, and I wear contacts all day (I take them out at night). I think insulin resistance might be a contributing factor.

I appreciated Dr Zalzal’s subtle puns which went unappreciated.

Both my better half and I suffer from chronic dry eye. Our optometrist is authorized to use the "Lipiflow" procedure and has significantly helped both of us. Along with daily heat mask applications, 2000 units of fish oil, Restasis drops, lubricating drops, eyelash cleaning with foam/pads and finally blinking exercises have significantly helped us opening the oil pores in the lower lid. All of that well worth it! Thanks guys for another great video!

I was recently diagnosed with dry eyes. Using drops and eye wipes plus the heated eye mask. Has helped! Thnx for these videos. It helps to understand and be informed. 😊

I went to an eye doctor when I had sharp pains in my eyeball. I was quite surprised to learn it was just dry eye. Pleased it was something so easy to correct, with eye drops and mask, just like you mentioned.

I had dry eyes to the point that my eyes geared so much, my skin on my face changed texture.
I started with Omega 3 fish oil, just from Costco. Likely 90% of the time, big improvement.
I add an extra capsule to alleviate

My ophthalmologist suggested rapid blinking, specifically 20 quick blinks every 20 minutes (!) and this does seem to bring some relief. Blinking apparently triggers release of tears somewhat.
