✅ Do you have dry eyes? What helps you the most?

I developed severe dry eye suddenly a couple of years ago. The doctor sent me home with a variety of drops that did not help. I also tried the warm compress which provided no relief whatsoever. I then came across an article during my research about vitamin D deficiency and dry eye. I found that interesting as I spend a great deal of time inside and do not get much vitamin D from my diet. I started a vitamin D supplement and my symptoms improved significantly within a week. I added fish oil as well and symptoms have not returned.

Consuming foods rich in omega 3 like walnuts, flaxseeds and omega 3 supplements has helped me a lot. And I also reduced my unnecessary screen time.

When I take a break from watching TV or a computer screen, it helps to close my eyes and take a long yawn. This immediately releases soothing tears and relaxes my eyes. Hope it works for you too.

have had dry eye issues, specifically recurrent cornea abrasions, for the last 4 years. I have tried EVERYTHING.: bandage contac lenses (3x), all brands of eye drops, humidifier, Bruder mask 3x a day followed by massage, =ointment nightly, autologous serum, fish oil supplements, three one-touch treatments to express the glands, three IPL treatments, and four keretectomies! Finally, I found something that helps: nightly goggles. So simple, and after all I've had to endure for the last 4 years!

I have dry eyes, and it didn't start until I was prescribed glasses 5 years ago. It really affects me while I'm driving though! My eyes will start to water and burn.

Thanks for the tips on relieving dry eye, Doctor. My husband recently got cataract surgery, his second eye is at least a month out of surgery. His eyes bother him so much, both of them--feeling like there's something in them. He saw our eye doctor last week who said everything looks good. He recommended the preservative free drops and warm compresses. I didn't know about the other options for relief that he can try. Thanks again.

Hey Doc, just wanted to say thank you. I have been having dry eyes for the last 6 months, and last month got the 1st stye of my life (which seemed to resolve but then became a hard lump in my eye lid). I followed your instructions on the warm eye compress, omega 3, and disposable eye drops and a week later it's almost totally healed! (The bump). You really helped me while I've been sheltering at home. Thanks again!

The blinking exercises have been really helpful. Kind of like breathing, most of us are shallow breathers too. Thanks for the helpful tip!

Regarding tip #3 for Blepharitis; my Opthamologist recommended shampooing my eyes along the upper and lower eyelashes with baby shampoo 1x A.M. & 1x before bed, I found it works great! Using 1 drop of shampoo on a moistened pad & then “rinse” by using a 2nd pad with only water. Pat dry then put drops in. I use no more tears by Johnson &Johnson for it no irritating, gentleness.👍

When my eyes start to tear, I use warm compresses and lid wipes and that fixes it within a few days. Also, I use Systane for Dry Eyes several times a day; it's one of the best on the market. It's not that expensive and does not burn my eyes.

Where have you been my whole life? Love your videos and the great information you share. I have never had any eye doctor (and I have had many, since I have moved quite a bit in my life) share this kind of information. Your shared knowledge has been a blessing to me. Thank you! Also love Zelda...your voice soothes her.
