Dry eyes are a very common complaint when tear production is not able to provide adequate eye lubrication. Tears can be inadequate or unstable for many reasons leading to dry eyes, but in order to understand how this may occur as well as what treatments may be helpful, normal tear creation must first be understood. Tears are actually quite complex composed of 3 different layers secreted by different glands and tissues. There is the oily outermost lipid layer. The water-like middle aqueous layer. And finally the innermost mucin layer. The video will go over all 3 layers of the tear film and how they help prevent dry eyes. Given the information provided, treatment strategies are also provided.

For me, supplement with vitamin B complex, Lutein, Fish oil and vitamin C cured my dry eyes.

I live in Germany and now it is cold weather and heater all around. From last month or two, I am feeling so much pressure in my eyes through out the day but no specific itching and redness. Yesterday, I had seen my doctor she checked pressure and optic never and everything seems to be normal. She prescribed me few gels and airdrops (to use every 2 hour) and told me it is because of dry and cold weather. So i will try the drops and gels now, will see how i feel.

I have went so many times to doctor because of my red eyes, but all they do is write me some medication and tell i had infection

I am wondering if this is caused by contact lenses, lasik and not avoiding light after 9pm. There is research that contact lenses are a much bigger problem than screens.

For anybody struggling with dry eyes. Try the eyebrow exercise. Lift each one, one at a time like ”the rock” look up who the rock is and his famous eyebrow lift lol. Do these for about 30 minutes. Be sure to switch eyebrows! Nobody will share this information and many sites have took my comments down. This has stopped my dry eye completely and it is no where to be found. I wish y'all the best I love you all. #defeatdryeye

Hello well I just wanted to say that for 2 years now since I was in high school not anymore but this problem I have all started when I was in high school and I started to feel my eyes being dry and I thought it was only a 1 day thing but it turns out that it actually got worse and worse over time and what bothers me now is I still have that problem and when I feel sad it triggers it and it causes me to not focus, talk well to others, talk fast, and stutter and not think of the words I’m trying to say correctly when I have my dry eyes. It’s also been impacting my mild depression and my ADHD. But now I still have it and everytime I blink and after I put on eye drops I still feel the sensation of my eyes being dry when their not and some pain in my eye if someone can help me pls because I need help and this whole dry eye pain I have is affecting my life and myself.
