Hip + Knee Strength and Control for Runners | Tim Keeley | Physio REHAB

People are running a lot more these days with gyms closed, and the number one problem we see with runners is hip and knee control issues causing pain in the hip and knee. This is mostly use to a weakness and control problem in the hips, which then overflows to the knee region. Internal rotation control loss and pelvic drop in a one leg squat is so common - and if you are a runnner it's something I recommed you work on and get right to help you now and prevent future injuries when pounding the pavement this year.

My right knee started making a crunchy noise going upstairs and doing and lunges or squats. X-ray and MRI look normal. I have no pain. Will these exercises help lesson the crunchy sound? Also I've noticed the crunch is directed medially in my kneecap not laterally

I find it really difficult to follow along the first excercise.. It's rather complicated, or not? I just find that there are many things to keep a look out on.... maybe it's just me. Thanks anyway;)

Which muscles are you pointing at, saying that they are weak? I tried looking up hip muscles but keep getting hip flexors.
