Stop heart palpitations immediately with this breathing technique

If you get heart palpitations from stress or anxiety, I have good news.

Researchers have discovered you can reduce heart palpitations with a simple breathing exercise.

When you have heart palpitations, your heartbeat may feel like it's racing, pounding, or fluttering.

Heart palpitations are usually not a sign of anything serious, but they can feel disturbing, and make you worry about your health.

But in 2 studies, a simple breathing exercise helped reduce people's palpitations by at least 50%. And for others it eliminated palpitations entirely.

So how did these people reduce their heart palpitations?

First let's look at this article from the international journal of cardiology.

Effect of pranayam (yogic breathing) and shavasan
(relaxation training) on the frequency of benign
ventricular ectopics in two patients with palpitations

In this experiment they had two patients who both had a history of frequent palpitations.

Both patients were able to stop their palpitations through deep breathing at 6 breaths per minute.

And after two months of relaxation training with a trained yoga instructor. Both patients had fewer episodes of palpitations, and when they did experience palpitations, they could relieve it by breathing at 6 breaths per minute.

Here's another study where they found deep breathing at 6 breaths per minute reduced palpitations by at least 50% in several patients, and in one patient stopped the palpitations entirely.

Effect of deep breathing at six breaths per minute on the frequency of premature ventricular complexes

How can you replicate these results for yourself?

Both studies said they had the patients breathe at 6 breaths per minute for at least one minute.

6 breaths per minutes is inhale for 5 seconds, and exhale for 5 seconds.

You should do the breathing exercise for at least one minute, but you may see better results by going for 5, 10, or 20 minutes.

To maintain this pattern of 5 seconds in, 5 seconds out you can use this guided breathing exercise to help you breathe at the right pace.

I just did it for six minutes. My heart kept feeling like it. Wanted to stop and fluttering constant. It’s been like three minutes now and it hasn’t fluttered. Thank you God.

I have been having pretty severe heart flutters over the past few days and was worried it was the onset of a heart issue. I've tried sitting and laying in several types of positions and different breathing patterns and nothing helped until I found this. I haven't had a heart flutter since I've started and am so relieved I keep laughing during the breathing exercise.

Inhale through your nose. Exhale through your mouth. Force as much air out as possible. Inhale deeply. I learned this in Speech Class

This is outstanding! The best part is that once you get into a rhythm, you can close your eyes and keep pace with the sound alone. Bravo sir!

It worked at about 6 min. I have afib and the heart flutter went away and heart rate went down.
Did not stop afib, but the worst went away.
VERY HAPPY

I was having racing heart palpitations before doing this, 98 beats per minute. As I was doing this the anxiety started to get more and more intense. I felt like I was hyperventilating even though I was breathing exactly with the breath pacer. It kept getting more and more intense and panic, then right at about the 19 minute mark I started to cry, tears as cold as ice cubes ran down my cheeks, and then the anxiety and palpitations went way down. I’m now at about 75 bpm. Maybe this exercise released a deep hurt or grief inside .

Luke, often times I’m stressed and anxious about my life. My heart will exceed into 110-120 bpm. This has helped me immensely. Thank you so much

I’m an RN. I have palpitations as a result of my thyroid. This is interesting and relaxing. By looking and listening to the pacing of the ball, it has a calming effect. Taking Magnesium supplement helps in reducing palpitations too.
