I’m 76 and have had tinnitus since 1969. Sometimes it’s loud sometimes not. Usually loud. I just learned to live with it.
I’ll know when I’m dead. My ears will stop ringing 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

My Tinnitus began June 3, 2020. I have seen an ENT and 2 Audiologist in los Angeles. It started after lack of sleep for a few days after some crazy anxiety! My Tinnitus is up and down. Im 8hz-9hz in my right ear. when I hold down on my ear I hear a persistent buzz! My hearing test came back fine and they did an ABR it was fine too

Hello Ben,
I'm so glad finding your channel!
I, ve got loud tinnitus in my left ear after one month giving birth to my baby. I was so stressed of this sudden loud noise that I developed anxiety and the tinnitus got louder. Now when I understand the vicious cycles you explained I no longer am afraid or stressed of the tinnitus. But can it be due to the sleep deprivation and neck back pain due to nursing that the tinnitus is still so loud and that I get spikes?

I never have tinnitus when i wake up for the first few hours, it's heaven, then slowly gets worse as the day goes on, I have no idea why

I’ve had tinnitus for a while, though it never bothered me in the past. I would only hear it in quiet environments, if I paid attention to it . But last week I had a spike in my left ear and it has not gone away. I also developed a clicking on the left side of my jaw, and my jaw constantly feels worn out. I’m wondering if that’s TMJ causing the tinnitus spike, or just a coincidence. Either way I hope the spike goes away soon, I can handle the regular tinnitus (the way it is in my right ear rn). It was soooo nerve racking the first couple of days. It’s annoying to feel this imbalance in sound, but I’ve stopped panicking over it, and honestly the panic was louder than the spike itself.

In the comment section I read something about tinnitus caused by a period of intense stress, anxiety and depression. I’m pretty sure I’m in the same boat. Is it true that this kind of tinnitus will subside or completely go away after healing from a this kind of stressful period? Or is it permanent after all?
