"Do you think we're in a race against time?"
"Nah, I've a hundred quid in the office pool on more'n 5 million dead..."

Dumbest question ever.

Please relabel the description. The video clip doesn't say who the speaker is, where they work, or what their qualifications are. It's a good piece, but I just can't put together the journalistic basics of who, what, when, where, and how from the video or the text description.

Most of the people don't know what exponentially means.
They don't know what a logarithm is. They don't know what an algorithm is. They don't know what an exponent is. They don't know what x to the nth power is.
They don't know what a bell-shaped curve is. Someone has got to give everybody a basic education in the vocabulary. They don't know what a virus is. They don't know how a virus reproduces. Somebody needs to give a 15-minute course "virus 101." Maybe four 15 minutes courses. The average Joe needs a little extra education here. In an effort reduce fear, and encourage cooperation, May we have a teacher please?

Coronavirus isn't the only virus we should be concerned with. There are dozens we still don't have vaccines for and after an outbreak we focus all our time and resources then funding goes away and ~poof~ we forget. There are thousands of viruses trapped in glaciers etc that haven't even been discovered yet. We need to put health/science among top priority and the funding for these essential services instead of hoping the next devastating virus doesn't hit us.
