Do you have a hip that snaps or makes other noises during certain movements?

Although the snapping sensation can be worrisome, especially if it feels like your hip is subluxing or dislocating, it’s important to know that it’s common in people without symptoms and usually doesn’t mean that anything is wrong with your hip or that problems will develop in the future.

For the big gap in actual information:

The sound is caused by tendon/fascia moving around very ungracefully

The cause is usually structural in nature, with the most common structural problems being either weak hip muscles that tighten up for normal people; and join instability from ligament laxity for hypermobile people.

(Normal people can have the ligament issue if they had some kind of trauma to their leg/hip that damaged the ligaments)

Note: there are many causes but these are just the large majority

The fix: functional strength training of your hip flexor and extensor muscles. Stretching them out is pointless if you don’t strength them as well as they will simply tighten back up pretty quickly. Once your hip joint is strong and stable again then it should improve.

If your issue was ligament based then you can go for Prolotherapy or PRP to trigger a healing cycle to occur

So do you have a video of the solutions for this if it's painful?

no this can be a problem because it is most likely a hip impingement eating into your hip. if you continue to exercise intensely without addressing it it can lead to a labral tear which i now have and am going to need surgery for. It happens if your femur is grinding against your hip due to natural hip anatomy or what’s more likely a lack of external hip rotation. If you think of your hip as the top half of a half circle and your femur as as a vertical line directly under it the line needs to go come away from the midpoint in order to go around the circle because of it doesn’t it will come into contact with the circle. In this case what allows us to move our femur in a position that gives us space is external rotation which is controlled by the glutes.

I know now through 10 yrs of research it’s my gracillis muscle but I can’t get any dr to listen. It’s so obvious it’s this muscle if a dr is smart enough my groin and inner knee snap and pain is severe in groin, hip, inner knee and inner thigh also my left buttock.

I have recently developed hip snapping that occurs in movements like lowering legs from leg lifts high knees or the core exercise bicycles I have no idea how to fix and it’s bothersome enough to keep me from doing these exercises

Ignore this. It is BS. Snapping is indicative of future problems.
