How to Kill a Geologist | Animation

After 3 weeks it's finally done! Yeah, I know, a one minute simple animation shouldn't have taken 3 weeks, but I've had very little time to animate because of school. This was fun to make though! Designing the characters was great, and it was awesome to be able to watch it after it was done. I think I'm a little overly proud of it, but that's probably just cause I took so long to make it xD

I'm still learning Adobe Animate, but I think this was a significant improvement from my last animation, so progress is going good B)

Fun fact: While obsidian knives are fragile enough to be broken in half with your bare hands (at least if they’re used to carrying around rocks all day), since they’re just a glass shard on a stick and not manually (imprecisely) cut, their edge is as wide as a single molecule, ten times sharper than than normal razorblades and several times sharper than surgical scalpels. If you do it right, when they go through flesh, they only kill a single cell, so cuts can heal faster. Many surgeons prefer them over— *WHACK*

Geologists would claim they couldn't be played like a fiddle so easily as they could even conceive what a fiddle is. Because everyone knows geologists can't perceive instruments that have nothing to do with Rock.

If Geologists only see rocks and minerals, they either have to learn, from a very young age that hovering subjects are generally held by people, or they see the human skeleton's potential of becoming a fossil, making it of interest, and thus visible, to them

How to kill a weapons enthusiast: Show them the obsidian knife. While they are talking about how interesting it is and how actually effective they are, especially for cultures without ready access to iron such as the Incas and Aztecs, hit them with the rock you got from the geologist you killed earlier.

In case the obsidian knife method is unable to work, simply show the geologist a block of ice. They'll be so paradoxically confused by the fact ice is *by all technical rules* a mineral, causing the ice to flicker in and out of existence as they struggle to piece things together, that they'll be far less likely to notice the bat in your other hand.

I love the acknowledgement of the fact that all geologists are like some anime villain, easily capable of casually dodging close-quarter knife swings while reciting facts about said knife until the attacker simply tires themselves out. While this is of course something true of all geologists, I rarely see people talking about it.

This video tickles me on multiple levels, because in one of my favourite games of all time, there's a skill called "Battle Geology" (which allows you all the natural abilities afforded to geologists, such as creating earthquakes and petrifying enemies), and I never thought I'd see the concept of geologists being kickass brought up again
