I've always wanted to go out and feed the skeletons in the local graveyard, but I was never sure what I could feed them. Now I can feed them without worry.

Question: My local skeletons LOVE cornbread, but since it's still bread, this is a problem. Would replacing the cornmeal with bonemeal help in this case or is that another can of worms?

In the Midwest, it’s not often you seek skeletons sitting on the front porch holding an unlit cigar. I usually light it for them and we have a talk about death and whatever other shit happens here which is absolutely nothing.

I always give them my neighbor’s old tapestries and they love it. I have three skeletons, Carl (died in 26 CE), Jeffrey (died in 328 BCE), and Jim (Died in 2973 BCE). Before, I was feeding them old pots and the occasional urn (A used one for a treat), But once I started feeding the tapestries, Carl, who is very short (3’ 4”), grew more than 2 feet in a week! He is now 5’ 5”! I’m seeing a lot of comments with suggestions for what to feed them, and I will try all of them, but my recommendation is tapestries. They are very healthy for them and taste great!

Thank you. I have always been intrigued by skeleton feeding but I've never known what to feed them. Thank you. I have some dead batteries at home.

It’s fascinating what humans do to try and make death less scary and thus deny their deep seated terror if it.

OP didn't even say anything about bread though so second person was just looking for a reason to be outraged.

Honestly it's nice when a skeleton actually trusts you enough to approach and eat from your hand, but in my local cemetery all the skeletons are really aggressive so normally I can't feed them.

I love how, skeletons lose all of their intelligence and gain the IQ of a duck upon resurrection

I found that the older and rarer the coin, the nicer the skeleton finds it

Unfortunately, I live in one of those cities where feeding skeletons are illegal because of so-called "sanitation" reasons. How tf is pigeon-feeding still allowed but not skeletons?! They don't even have the organs necessary to produce waste anymore!!

I've found that dog treats (such as bones or something else high in calcium) always make a good meal for a skeleton. However, make sure you partially crush the bones first, or else the skeleton's teeth might break while chewing. Try to avoid anything high in carbs (it will pass right through them) or any acidic or sugary foods, which can damage the skeleton's bones.

A skeleton is the structural frame that supports the body of most animals. There are several types of skeletons, including the exoskeleton, which is the stable outer shell of an organism, the endoskeleton, which forms the support structure inside the body, and the hydroskeleton, a flexible internal skeleton supported by fluid pressure. Vertebrates are animals with a vertebral column, and their skeletons are typically composed of bone and cartilage. Invertebrates are animals that lack a vertebral column. The skeletons of invertebrates vary, including hard exoskeleton shells, plated endoskeletons, or spicules. Cartilage is a rigid connective tissue that is found in the skeletal systems of vertebrates and invertebrates.

Etymology:
The term skeleton comes from Ancient Greek σκελετός (skeletós) 'dried up'. Sceleton is an archaic form of the word.

Classification:
Skeletons can be defined by several attributes. Solid skeletons consist of hard substances, such as bone, cartilage, or cuticle. These can be further divided by location; internal skeletons are endoskeletons, and external skeletons are exoskeletons. Skeletons may also be defined by rigidity, where pliant skeletons are more elastic than rigid skeletons. Fluid or hydrostatic skeletons do not have hard structure like solid skeletons, instead functioning via pressurized fluids. Hydrostatic skeletons are always internal.
