That's it in a nutshell.
Instant conviction by the Holy Spirit upon sinning (disobedience, even thoughts) & Instant repentance...
It's God's grace and mercy 😇

I’m sure you know this but a good indicator could be the fruit of the spirit. In Galatians chapter 5 it can shed some light on this. In verse 22 and 23 the fruit of the spirit is outlined with 9 different qualities.

If you see these being practiced by someone it might be a positive indication that a person has changed.

Walking in the spirit it states in Galatians. A bit like the idiom ‘walk the talk’ or variations of that. It’s a good place to start.

Your salvation is a personal issue with Christ. As the famous theologians ‘The Beach Boys’ vocalized in their song ‘God Only Knows’. Well you catch my drift.

The LORD is able to keep them and promises He will never lose them we don't know until the day. This can be quite troubling for those who are struggling with demonic attacks to dissuade the new believer that they are lost because they may be feeling wishy washy.... He WILL NEVER LEAVE OR FORSAKE US. IF ONE IS ASKING THEY ARE HUNGRY.

1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

You might want to read that verse again. Ask yourself who that is?

One can believe and then no longer believe just as you can fall in love with someone and then fall out of love with them.
Yea, you can lose your salvation by rejecting it. Another thing, having doubt while genuinely seeking is not the same as rejecting

Once we are regenerated we must respond and to operate
With God. Satan goes about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour

Before creation, God predetermined whom he would save and whom he would not.

Hmm, no one born of God makes a practice of sinning? My Pastor/mentor is in his 70s. He's a gifted teacher, has led many to Christ (at the park on a plane, not only from a pulpit), has let ex-cons live in his home that he met when doing prison ministry & had no place to stay after getting out. He admits to being an impatient, uncourteous driver still, what/where is the criteria for "practice of sinning"??
