Good response, with 3 or 4 different versions of Calvinism it gets tricky. As a former Reformed Baptist, what I have found is Calvinists love their books more then their bibles. I don't need to understand Calvinism, I need to understand the bible.

Understanding something does not equal agreeing with it.

That said, I reject Calvinism BECAUSE I understand it.

Your posture and humility with your desire for truth are strong indicators that you do indeed understand Calvinism.
That’s why in humility you’ve bowed your knee before the king of kings, submitting to Him alone, rejecting the man centred theology of Calvinism.

🎯While it is true that Calvinists are not a monolithic group, they are consistent that no one rejects Calvinism because they DO understand!😎 However, few opinions are further from the truth. The God-given conscience inherent in man always initially rejects the notion that a Loving creator would condemn the vast majority of those, created in his own image, for doing what he decreed them to do by withholding the ability to do otherwise. People must be 'convinced' to believe that by a carefully crafted argument.
The origin of that argument is NOT our loving Heavenly Father.

My question to the calvinist~ Why would Jesus need to be killed on the cross If he knew who he was to select. 2nd question : How do you know you are the elect. 3 . I could never follow it when you hear RJ Sproul say you will see babies in hell. To the calvinist you have to wonder if your child was elected or not.

"You don't understand Calvinism". Interpretation: You're not using the proper sophistry and rhetoric to cloak the doctrines and make them easier for Christians to accept.

People as they study can develop lenses so their beliefs at one point get tainted and are not the same. When you say King James who was a presbyterian wasn't a Calvinist, that Luther was a Calvinist, that men are totally unable to respond in Calvanism. You demonstrate a present miss understanding of Calvinist teaching.

I'm sorry to say, but if you follow the same hermeneutics for the rest of the Bible that you are showing for this two parts Romans series then it is no wonder that your theology is so messed up. You really need to drop that Romans stuff and come back to a plain and common understanding
