I know Chris Date thought he cleared this up, but he didn't at all. The issue still stands. I was actually stunned by some of the stuff said in that debate. This stuff only makes sense to other Calvinists. Anyone with a shred of common sense understands what Kevin is saying here is true. Election is your salvation in that system.... not what Christ did.

I went for a couple weeks to an openly calvinist church. I sat in on a prayer service where the elder was shouting as he "prayed", "Oh Lord thank you for giving us your son who we would never have chosen without your intervention" now broadly speaking I agreed. Yes, without God initiating the opportunity for reconciliation to Himself, no human would be saved. However, since God has been doing this since the fall in varying ways and which came to full actualization in Christ, it follows all humans have some form of culpability for not ascertaining this or responding to God's way back to Him.

Needless to say, I never went back to that church. Another member had me over to their place where they gleefully expressed how it was for God's greater glory all things come to pass and they even emphasized that the murder and rape of people was part of God's glorious plan. It was a backwater area for sure. And I knew they had been confounded by demonic ideology and were almost beyond help.

*ONE EXAMPLE OF HOW CALVINISM TWISTS THE MEANINGS OF BIBLICAL THINGS*
In Calvinism - the *PRIMARY* soteriological component - is a divine potter of Romans' 9 who for his good pleasure creates and designs the vast majority of the human individuals on planet earth - specifically for eternal torment in a lake of fire - for his good pleasure.

So creating people specifically for eternal torment in a lake of fire for pleasure - is Calvin's god's *PRIMARY* provision for mankind.

Now then - if you ask any Calvinist - if creating/designing people specifically for eternal torment in a lake of fire for pleasure - is defined in Calvinism as *Good News* he is likely to evade your question.

He will evade that - and many other questions - because in Calvinism everything that Calvin's god does - including evil for the sake of pleasure - is defined as "Good".

And every serious Calvinist is smart enough to know - if he tells people the *TRUTH* about his doctrine they are going to reject it. And that is why Calvinists never tell people the *TRUTH* about their doctrine.

But this fact provides an example of how Calvinism twists the meanings of Biblical things.

I couldn't agree more. I'm so tired of Calvinists claiming that it's just a minor issue of slightly varying interpretations. I keep making that point, but somehow it just bounces off of them like they're made of Teflon... Many exhibit behaviors common among brainwashed cult members.

Does anyone here listen to Missionary Spencer Smith? He falls into one of these categories. He is either a stealth Calvinist, doesn’t understand Calvinism, or he doesn’t understand the gospel. Doctrine actually doesn’t matter to him.

I am "obsessed" with exposing Calvinism BECAUSE I understand it and have studied it for almost half a decade now. Calvinism (in its historically consistent form) is heresy heresy heresy and an outright blasphemous attack against the holy righteous just character of God Himself!

Kevin is an interesting (and determined guy), but I gave up listening to him when it seemed that he was always going to emphasize disagrement. He's right about Calvinism, though.
