Why is Windows Display Scaling So Bad?

Have you ever noticed how Windows can make things look blurry and improperly sized, especially if you're using multiple monitors? Why is this?

Close to 4 years have passed since this video, and Windows 11 still continues to have scaling issues.

You know what pisses me off? That sometimes when I change the resolution, Windows just changes the scaling, and tells me the resolution was changed.

This is the exact reason why I bought a laptop with a 1080p display. I used to have an Acer laptop with a 4k screen like 4 years ago. At that time plugging in an external monitor was literally impossible and caused so many scaling issue that I decided to change the resolution to 1080p (on my 4k screen).

It's really ridiculous to me how people in MS can be working on all kinds of new stuff, "enhancements" and updates while such simple and basic stuff like scaling is not taken care of. I'm using two displays, one is 4k another one 1920x1200, I have to sign out and sign in again every time windows starts, as if turning my pc on or resetting is not enough. If I don't do that the scaling settings I want to use are ignored. The worst thing about it tho is that nobody in Microsoft gives a flying f*** about it... We're on our own.

The real key here is to have two monitors that have the same dimensions and resolutions, for example if your original monitor is, a 21" monitor that has 1680x1050 resolution, then you should add a second monitor that is also 21" and has 1680x1050 resolution. Stuff will then easily move from one to the other, without issues.
