Healthy Meals at Home | Live Cooking Class with Chef Jacob

Recently we did our first live cooking class in #RLAB. The class was designed for a women's wellness retreat, so we focused on quick, healthy meals anyone can do at home. In this video I demonstrate a couple of my weekly go-tos that have helped me lose 100 lbs over the last two years, including seared salmon with yogurt dill-sauce, salmon tacos, and stir-fried shrimp in high protein peanut curry.

Since all work and no play makes for a dull women's retreat, we also had Wine & Spirits educator Dani Morris demonstrate some of her favorite low calorie, batch cocktails that can be served 'almost' guilt free at your next get-together.

With all due respect, the people talking during the presentation drove me a little batty. That being said, I am loving the content on your channel. Can’t wait to keep seeing more!

I'll give the chatty Cathys in the audience a little credit for lasting _almost half an hour_ before going full magpie.

Listen to the drunk Karens in the audience. Don't talk over chef when he's trying to teach you something.

Fantastic. Chef, why red onion and not, say, white? or does it not really matter? And thank you!

Loved the video, I’m going to the CIA this fall for culinary arts. A lot of your videos helped fuel my passion towards that career.

38:38 If you flip the top and leave it in the store, it'll oxidize and go bad very quickly. Please don't give anyone this tip.

I came here looking for the old testament Jewish patriarch Jacob's recipes. I hear he was a good cook. Do you know any of his recipes?

Fantastic! Loads of good information. Your F-STEP concepts really helped me become competent and improvise in the kitchen, thanks so much 🙂

Oh, this is exciting! I distinctly remember the F is for Flavour video unlocking almost like a new level of fluency in my day to day cooking. Really good stuff. Looking forward for what's to come!
Also, that gin, lime, simple syrup, basil combination is amazing. I ended up with the same cocktail a couple years back when I tried to find out what the basic flavors that I wanted in a drink were. If you have a big bush of basil that's gone into flower stage it's nice to use a sprig of those basil flowers as a garnish.

The top down camera over the bench is a nice touch. A lot of the cameras seem out of focus and blurry though.

Great video Chef
Just want to check on an America-British translation [ two nations divided by a common language and all that ;) ]
Cilantro, is that what we call in the UK 'fresh coriander leaves'? A web search seems to point to this being the case I thought it best to check with the man doing the cooking!
