24 Hours of Healthy Student Cooking (Cheap and Realistic)

I wanna take you through an entire day of cooking and eating from the perspective of a broke college student who is trying to stay healthy. I'm documenting all my meals trying to focus on maximizing nutritional value while still keeping the dishes cheap, easy and fun. I made sure all recipes take less than 30 minutes to complete, they're nutritionally balanced, and they're approachable as a college student.

oats:abt 594 cals
1 med apple:85 cals
1 cup yogurt:136 cals
1 tbs cinnamon:6 cals
40 grams of oats:150 cals
10 pieces walnuts:132 cals
tbs honey:64 cals


Wrap:abt 435 cals
all spices:60 cals
1/2 cup yogurt:68 cals
1 tbs honey: 64 cals
1 pan fried chicken thigh:177 cals
1 med tomato:22 cals
1/4 iceberg lettuce:10 cals
1 tortilla:94 cals
(was shocked by this but cilantro is 0 cals so ya.)


snack thing:abt 197 cals
1 med cucumber:40 cals
1 med tomato:22 cals
1 med pepper:23 cals
1/4 canned beans:27 cals
1 tbs capers:2.5 cals
1 cracker 60
2 tbs yogurt:20


noodles:abt 604
1 pack instant noodles:386 cals
1/2 tofu: 33 cals
tbs olive oil:119 cals
1 green onion:8 cals
1 med pepper:23 cals
1 tbs ginger root:1 cals
1 garlic clove:4 cals
1tbs dark soy sauce:20 cals
1 tbs oyster sauce:9 cals
(When I made this I made it with rice noodles(192 cals a cup) bc the instant noodles are very bad tbh.)


1830 cals in a days total
1636 cals if you use rice noodles.

Not a student but I have never been to a store / farmers market where you can grab 1 egg, teaspoon of herbs etc. I would appreciate the realism here that you purchase the ingerdients like a student would, so essentially, planning a grocery list and then making it from there. That's where the true savings come from. I remember when I was a student the savings also came from what I could freeze or make in bulk, essentially cooking for 4 but freezing the 3 other meals for later use.

i like cooking and i like tasty food. but due to my health and mental problems i hadn't cooked in a while and ate just whatever i could. your videos are really inspiring me to cook smth from them! they look pretty easy and won't take much time. I'm really thankful for motivation!

Love these meals! I'm studying in the Netherlands and we eat with at least 5 people everyday so our meals are more family style (like every type of food you can imagine) but these are nice for when you eat on your own!

Just wanted to say I made the wrap and the tofu noods (but used tiny lil chicken thigh pieces instead) multiple times so far and they were both VERY good. I used to get those expensive meal kits, but for why?! I'm going to keep actually cooking. Thanks for the recipes, keep making videos please 🙏
