This was such a classic musical movie. I loved both 1961 and 2021. I saw the Steven Spielberg remake in theaters last year with my uncle Charles. One of my favorite movies of 2021 last year.

When I was in high school, my English teacher showed us this movie in class because we were studying Romeo & Juliet, and I immediately got into it. After revisiting the movie as an adult, I love and admire it even more.

I became George Chakiris' biggest fan for sure! Scrapbooks of his photos from magazines and newspapers. There was no "net" it was so much more fun before computers came along. Trust me on that!

25 days afterwards to today's opening in 1961, I was born in a community of Phoenix, Maryvale. I wonder if this protends an election for me in the 10th District of New York, bringing to life a West Side Story in me.
