This can be the result of a number of different issues, including software problems. First, hard reset your iPhone. It that doesn't work try charging your iPhone with multiple cables and multiple chargers.

If your iPhone still says it's charging but it won't charge, clean out the Lightning port with an anti-static brush or brand new toothbrush.

Finally, you can completely rule out a software problem by DFU restoring your iPhone.

If your iPhone still isn't charging even though it says it is, explore your repair options or consider purchasing a new cell phone.

Thank you for making this video. This problem has been bugging me for months. I even went and bought a new charging stand and was considering upgrading my phone as soon as possible just so i wouldn't have to struggle to get my phone to charge properly. A simple hard reset and i was good to go.

turn your phone off, turn it back on and then go to settings. click battery and then go to battery health, then turn off optimized battery charging. it worked for me but i just had to do this process again. i hope my phone isn’t broken.

If you have recently disconnected the battery, open up the phone again, disconnect the battery cable again and then click it back in again firmly until it snaps, worked for me, a huge relief!

My iPhone 7 is a legend, it has all sorts of battery related probs
1)boot loops
2)it's showing charging but not charging
3)it stuck on 1%
4)over heat though I don't use it much
Apart all these it survived this condition more than a year

My Iphone had the icon saying it was charging, but it really wasn't.
It's REALLY charging now after I brushed the charge port hole (no rice was found though lol). Thanks guys.
