I watch so many of Dr Mindy's videos and decided to wait till my cycle started to do the month. Days 1 thru 10 I did 4 day water fast took a break for 2 days eating broth sardines and avocado decided to do another 3 day water fast. I lost 15 lbs and more importantly my fasting blood sugar (I'm type 2) w/o meds went from 277 to 104. I usually suffer cramping on day 2 and 3 but no cramps. I'm on day 19 and did OMAD yesterday and today. Looking forward to upping my carbs this week 😂

Hi Mindy! I have cerebral palsy and am just blown away the benefits of fasting 🎉 my inflammation is greatly reduced as well as muscle spasms and 🎉am walking again, after not being able to walk for 6 months. Due to pain, inflammation and muscle spasms 🎉

I've noticed for around 7 days every month while I PMS, I can't fast at all, not even if I was getting paid for it - my body just wants me to eat more calories more often. Then my appetite completely disappears once I start my period and I can easily fast without trying. It's truly hard being on a consistent fasting schedule with these hormones.

I'm IF 15-18 hours a day and feel great. Did a 36 and 2 24 hour fasts I'm 59 and post menopausal. I've been dx with low grade invasive ductal carcinoma and hoping fasting is helping. Lost 20 lbs since I started fasting too.

I unintentionally started fasting on my cycle day 1, and now I’m doing this forever lol it WORKS! Lost weight and I feel amazing ❤ thanks again for another great video Dr Mindy!!! ❤

I can agree the week before my period I am starving like Marvin but its been my 4th month doing IF using 19:5 and its gotten better. I do need to do a 24hour but not there yet. My weight loss has been stagnant. But overall Thank you Dr Mindy!

I Just did a 72hr fast last week and broke it Thursday evening at 6:30. I am started another 42hr fast this afternoon at 3:00. I’m so excited.

This makes so much sense, I started fasting hard core during my period because when I ate any type of carbohydrates I basically had paralyzing cramps. Fasting was the only things that helps and also not mixing my food. I only ate protein with carbs, or protein and fat, never mixing all three together. Basically a death sentence on my stomach 😅

Good morning from the UK. I have always been slim, yet have not had a particularly healthy diet or life style, people and myself always put it down to genes ——- not true. When my daughter discovered fasting we realised that I have unintentionally been intermittent fasting my whole life. It’s just how I eat, always in a 9/8/7 hour window occasionally less. In recent years I have become more aware of only eating quality healthy food. I had a go at a 24 hour fast this week, I felt energised and I think I had improvement with niggling injuries. I am really going for this to bring better health and well-being to my old age. Thank you for this knowledge. Cheryl age 64

Thank you so much, Dr. Mindy. I now have a clear understanding of how I should fast. I had tied my tube (no more baby) but still have a period every month irregularly, and each time, it made me so moody and high temper. I started to apply fasting with the period cycle after listening to your podcast with the other doctor. I fast for 48 hours during days 1 to 10, and i actually felt normal and not really hungry.

Menstruation: Day 1-10 fast for as long as you like
Ovulation: Day 11-15 keep fasting hours below 15
Luteal phase: Day 15-19 fast for as long as you like
Day 20-Menstruation: No fasting

So that's why my period is messed up this past 2 months since I've consistently fast for 16hours regardless of my period calendar. The cons of just going on weight loss without the proper knowledge. Will definitely improve my fasting habits so my hormones will get back to normal.
