Hi Physi, any data/evidence that caffeine interferes with benefits of creatine supplement?

Nicolas -- I'm a statistical expert with experience in this area. Magnitude based inference is a discredited statistical approach that was used in sports science without any theoretical statistical grounding. I'd recommend to never cover MBI on your channel again. Most papers that use MBI can still be useful, but you need to ignore the MBI sections and any inferences using MBI. Focusing on descriptive and frequentist statistics such as p values in those papers is usually OK.

Have you discussed the recently published information regarding creatine benefits to the brain?

Oh I was taking it before working out. Along with electrolytes. It gets into your system in a half an hour or so, right?
Maybe put it in both before drink and after drink. I have water bottles all over the place.

The before and after workout video is great for the more active. But as a more elderly asthmatic with little hope of working out can we have a best supplements to take before bedtime video for us old crocks please. Some such as salbuthiamine seem to really liven me up, and some seem to have a neutral or more soporific effect.

I seem to have noticed that creatine makes it so that I can lift more weights more easily.
So I'm wondering if the study had controlled for weight, which might be negating the impact of creatine. If having creatine in your system allows you to lift more weight, then having it in your system prior might be better.

Thank you for pointing out the absurdity of most “influencers” and their obsession with the icing instead of the cake.

Hi Nicolas, I would very much like to take creatine. However, I have a damaged pancreas due to a severe pancreatitis. Research on the effects of creatine on the pancreas or development of pancreatic cancer, seems to be conflicting regarding safety. Do you have any opinions on that?

Because I don’t eat before a workout (Intermittent fasting) I take it afterwards.

No creatine for me. I just drink some coffee and that really helps with workouts as it gets rid of fatigue and pain. ;)

I've wondered the same thing with nitrate supplements for endurance activities. One theoretically gets a slight boost in performance taking it 2 to 3hrs before activity "x". But does one also get a boost from it taking it after activities opening up the blood vessels etc to help with recovery?
